    Your PVA prefit experience

Chose a 6CM PVA prefit for my Tikka hunting rifle I'm building because of this thread. Should have it within the next few weeks I imagine. I'll only be shooting factory ammo through it but I'm also not looking for uber-precision. Just functional hunting rifle precision like a 20 round group...

    Tikka T3 Thread

How do you like the Midas trigger? I just ordered one after years of eyeing it and just not having a Tikka to put it on before now.

Is this normal for a custom action?

Also their resistance to binding is insane

Precision Rifle Gear Are 147’s still blowing up?

Just ordered a 6CM prefit with 18" length and 1:7 twist with shooting 108 ELD-Ms in mind for hunting. Should I be worried?

    Sig Cross vs Tikka, etc

    I'd also go with Tikka.

Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

I'd be interested to hear Area419's rationale (if it's an independent conclusion by them) for advising wet mounting. I don't think their reputation for mount/fastener quality is in as much question.

Wet Mounting Scope Mounts - Where It All Started

Do you think there's still enough friction to prevent rearward movement? As an extreme example if the rifle was resting with its butt on the flood of a truck that was driving down a rough road to a hunting destination.

Q Getting Rekt - Silencer Drama

KB is such an ungodly prick that pointing it out got me a free barrel from Tracy Bartlein years ago. Back in the early days of the Fix when he was burning his bridge with Bartlein saying they couldn't make quality barrels for the Fix (so he was switching to Green Mountain). I encourage him to...

    FOV issues and patents

I don't have much of an opinion on the possibility of the bullet going through a scope. Was just remarking that both those things are part of a long list of un-evidenced claims by Hathcock. Or his biographer I suppose. Marine Sniper, Silent Warrior, and White Feather all read like fanfictions so...

    FOV issues and patents

That really sucks. It seems to be a competitor to the S&B Polar which seems to sell well enough for Schmidt to keep it on the US market. Maybe their name is just recognizable enough they don't have the same issue.

    NEW- Geissele King Hunter

Spomer is slightly more mellow but JVB recently had a public meltdown about using 6mm cartridges for big game hunting. He ended up having to remove a podcast episode after lying about the experiences of people he knows (they corrected him publicly). Neither of those guys understand how bullets...

    FOV issues and patents

The key to shooting the sniper through his scope was the rifle (evidence that it happened) conveniently disappearing from the armory. And the key to shooting the NVA general was the fact that there's also no evidence it ever happened. Either way, I'm sure if he had been given a fancy ass...

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

The owner of DNA Firearms in NC has a full length stippling job on his match rifle's Centurion that's genuinely like artwork.
