Re: expected accuracy on new Model 700 Vamint?
How did you break the barrel in?? That can have everything to do with accuracy I would say around 50% better groupings
Re: Necessary upgrades/modifications for long range
My personal opinon is that if your rifle won't group good you will never know what your true potential is, I wouls want a proven group before istarted ruling things out.
Re: Rem 700 action galling?
If you do lap the lugs be careful not to take to much off that will defintly iincrease your headspace for sure sometimes up to 8thousenths. If your a neet freek like me that would drive me crazy.
Re: Savage accuracy problem....or it just may be me...
Yup, sorry to say but sounds like your anticpating the recoil on the first shot for sure. Just relax take your time.
Re: My first custom......that I built.
How about those groups, I'm a new found a beliver in the 260 i just finished mine and its unbeliveable 3 shot groups at 100 yards .130 while breaking in the barrel and havent done any load devl yet.
Re: 338 Norma... first 3 rounds down range!!!
Sweet rig, i love those rifles that shoot better groups when breaking them in than all your rifles, thats something to be said bout thats a keeper.
Re: Coming Soon The "Meat Stick"
I personaly think it depends on where and what your hunting,
I would like it just the way it is and think that would be a very good gun for long range praire like hunting.
