    I like a lower mount, but don't use anything lower than 24 mm with a Vortex AMG. I started with the 22 mm ARC M10 rings (20 MOA rail) and the bolt handle hit the magnification adjusting ring.

    There is a bug that reduces my confidence in Shooter. If you use Density Altitude, (instead of barometric pressure and temperature) changing the temperature changes the solution ... even when MV Variation is zero.

    I have the same scope and never noticed a change in parallax when I dialed up and held down to check tracking. I'll have to pay more attention.

    I see Eley increasing in velocity from 1060 to 1090 within the first 3 or 4 shots.

    What are you using for the ballistic coefficient? Litz measured CCI Green Tag at 0.128.

    I checked my AMG at 25 yds ... it's pretty close, but still has some parallax. 24x is too much at 25 yds anyway.

    Zero'd at 50 yds and used Litz's ballistic coefficient (for Eley Match) for a match today. Consistent hits on steel at 135,160,180, 220 and 260 today using Shooter. I'm good on paper at 25, 50 and 100. Hope to get some shots on paper at 200 and 300 in the next week or two.

    Don't rely on his velocity data ... different barrel, different chamber. I used his data to find consistent ammunition without having to test everything myself. My Vudoo with a 20" barrel generates slightly higher velocities, but his ballistic coefficients have been spot on

    Yes, now that the weather has warmed up. Has not seemed to affect accuracy. I shot a "Varmint" match last weekend at 100 yards ... 22 of 25 x-rings (0.75 in diameter).

    All the variables matter. Vudoo with a Vortex AMG 6-24x50, shooting Eley Match, chrono'd at 1116 fps, BC 158, sight height 1.94. Shooting something like SK Match at 1060 fps, BC .154, and a slightly lower sight height would impact about .4 to .5 low at 50 yards if zero'd at 25. Am I close?

    I zero at 50 which also is zeroed at 25 yards.

    Statistical Zero

    There's an app for Android smart phones and tablets called Range Buddy that calculates the statistical center of your group and its mean radius. Take a photo of your target then open it with Range Buddy to analyze the group(s).
