Interesting. I am thinking about going with a short barrel 260 rem 21" barrel. Maybe this will get me a tad more speed and keep the barrel running good for a longer round count.

Any current dope for the short barrels? I am about to cut mine down.
I have a obermeyer tight bore .260 running 139g Lupua Scenars with 44.1g of H4350 in a 25" barrel. That gets me 2880fps her at sea level. Any guesses what it'd do with a 22" barrel?

Wiebad has a ton of bags. Bags with velcro to stick it under your forearm, big and small and they also have a big bag for positional shooting that's huge but weighs less than a small rear bag.

The rock solid to me seems front heavy. I do have a MTU barrel so just about every chassis would be front heavy. There is not a lot of weight in the rear of the stock, unless you have an bag off the rear.
I have the same set up times 2 (barrel/caliber), I would guess you are right around 2790-2820 with that load. I think that the elevation is helping (however I have never shot at that alt). At sea level (43.5g H4350 24" krieger barrel) runs right at 2830 which is 8.5 mils to 1000, my other rifle...
