    110 BA 338 LM

Re: 110 BA 338 LM I tried N560 and it gave me pressure signs, but in my Rem 700, not my current rifle. I heard that N560 is good for 250s and N570 for 300s.

    Savage 338lm 1650,1820 and 2050 yards!!!

Re: SAVAGE 338LM 1650YARDS!!! depends on muzzle brake, weight of rifle, etc... and the real issue is amount of powder... if the load is hot, then it's gonna kick pretty good.

    110 BA 338 LM

Re: 110 BA 338 LM with N570 and 250 Scenar btw you can't overfill the case... you can put 98 grains in there, and compress it with the Scenar 250 at spec'd seating, and you'll push 3050fps (27"barrel) with no pressure signs on brass or primer. I am suspecting that in this case, there is...

    110 BA 338 LM

Re: 110 BA 338 LM I have stopped using Retumbo and gone to N570. Retumbo really pressured my primers and cases at loads less than max recommendation. N570 seems to burn slower and stresses the brass and primer not at all.

    Vectronix -- rubbin it in!

Re: Vectronix -- rubbin it in! I got to play with a Gunwerks LRF the other day... it did pretty well out to 1500, but it could only range my 1800 yd target 1 out of 3 attempts. Rocks or other objects at 1800 could not be ranged at all... I thought for $1600 one is far better off getting the...

Coming from Litz - 338 Edge & 338 LM ammo

Re: Coming from Litz - 338 Edge & 338 LM ammo What brass will you use for the 338 LM? I will definitely buy a few boxes to compare the Bergers against my Scenar handloads.

Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar?

Re: Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar? also after poring over the data I've collected on 250 Scenar and 300 Scenar at 2750fps, it seems that I should settle on the 300 Scenar especially for 1500+ yards where it maintains velocity better than the 250, even with the 250 at...

Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar?

Re: Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar? I may have traced the problem down to incorrect DA entry into Shooter. I believe either my Kestrel is far too high in it's DA calculation, or I incorrectly calibrated it earlier that day. When I put in a DA that I had used previously at...

Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar?

Re: Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar? Cory, thank you for the input, that's very interesting. The target is 24x24", and I can't speak to groups at 1800 yards with cross wind, that's just not going to happen, as shots were to left and right of the target as much as +/- 10 feet...

Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar?

Re: Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar? Bryan, Thank you very much for your expert assistance. answers: 1) I used a Comp Electronics (CED) chron to measure my loads at one certain atmo condition, with a decent statistical amount of data, about ten shot string. I use the CED's...

    realistic Expectations 338 LM

Re: realistic Expectations 338 LM at a mile, wind blows stuff all over the place. I have a very nice OCW optimized load which groups super tight at 100 yards etc... but at 1800 yards yesterday, even a 5-10mph wind was blowing 250 Scenars left and right of the target about +/-10 feet. You had...

Shooter BC entries for 300 Scenar and 250 Scenar?

I am not having good luck with Shooter app on my 338LM firing Scenars (250 and 300). Shooter predicts a comeup about 1.2 MILs short of the actual. Meaning I need to add about 1.2 MILs to actually hit the target... this is at a mile roughly (1800yds). Is anyone using Shooter with these bullets...

    realistic Expectations 338 LM

Re: realistic Expectations 338 LM I've had days with my 338LM where my ego was boosted as I had miraculous shots one right on top of the other, meaning within 12", at 1600 yards... then other days where I was left frustrated with shots dispersing all over with some but not a ton of wind...
