    Nice to here the OP got his rifle in time, but I have to believe this Internet pressure might have had something to do with it. I'm sure the smith wanted to get it done and be done with this customer. On a personal note, I will not be so easily sucked in to a thread like this in the future.

    I don't know why all you guys are defending the gunsmith. The man signed a contract to do the work within a 10 week period. No one forced him to sign it. He did not have to take on the work. There are a lot of times I have to pass on bidding a contract because the completion date does not fit...
