Looking for Heavy Barrel for .300 win mag

Any .308 caliber barrel with a big enough barrel shank and the appropriate profile will work on your rifle. The bore is the same, no matter if you have it chambered in 300 blk all the way up to a .300 Norma Magnum. Talk to a gun smith, like LRI and they will get it done for you. Read here and...

Looking for Heavy Barrel for .300 win mag

If your requirements for a scope is that is matte black, then I really dont have any advice to give. Why do you write both of a stock and a chassis? Either would do, you dont really need both.

Nice rifle, but it looks like it says "Steyr" to me, it even has the Steyr logo, so it is not a Mauser.

    300 win mag.

Well Id be damned. I wonder why they picked such an aggressive twist rate. Hornady 230 grain A-tips maybe?

    300 win mag.

The Hells Canyon has the pretty regular 1/10 twist. At least, that is what the Brownings website says. I dont know why you would get a win mag to shoot light weight bullets like that. The win mag is what you pick to sling the bigger bullets, im thinking minimum 190 grains and up, usually with...

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

Just another day at the range. Wife and kid was there with me, both had a go with the TRG 22. This rifle rocks. Tried out handloads with Lapua Scenar 155 bullets and Norma powder. They are running at 2760fps and work great, No problems holding sub moa groups at both 100 and 300 meters. It is...

    Tikka t3x Whiskey-3 Chassis

The Whiskey 3 is a very sturdy chassis. I have had 3 of them, the only issue was with the lower hinge on a old gen 3 Whiskey, which developed some play after some months of use. KRG sent me a new updated replacement hinge and it and every chassis Ive had since then has been flawless. I run the...

Barrel Contour and Length - yeah, that question again! haha

    Rifle Scopes Optic Failures

Years ago, I managed to bust a Vortex PST gen 1, beeing clumsy, I got a replacement from Vortex with no questions asked. They saved my shooting season that year. Vortex warranty is crazy good. A friend had an IOR that would not track, then the reticle illumination went down. He sent it in and...

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

Some social distancing today. TRG 22 goodness, on the 100m range, so not too much distance today... Getting more used to the Sako bipod, but it is different than ATLAS and Harris and I am not fully "on board" with it. Still kept most 5 round groups at around 1" C/C with the best one going just...

    SAKO TRG-22

My TRG22 is the old version, I have no complaints what so ever. Granted it has a lot of aftermarket parts on it, but the acton, trigger, bolt and barrel is factory standard. If the rifle you are looking at is in good condition, go for the older one, and buy a lot of ammo, mine (and others) seems...

    Range Report LabRadar or?

When using labradar, have anyone of you experienced variations in readings when you are shooting with a suppressor? Or in other words, does using a suppressor affect the readings of the Labradar?

    Sako TRG / TRG-S M995 Thread **Sticky??**

I dont know. Bought the rifle used so I have no way to really tell. It shoots great, so im not worried about it. Im keeping a log on how many rounds I put through it though, and I have just passed 400.

    Sako TRG / TRG-S M995 Thread **Sticky??**

My TRG22 still has the factory .308 barrel. KRG folder, Nightforce scope and rings, Sako bipod, Stalon Victor L suppressor. It seems to really prefer Lapua Scenar L 175 grain and/or Sierra Match King 175 grain bullets.

Who wants to do a bullet review ?

Would a humble Swede qualify to do a review? I have a Sako TRG22 in 308 and a rebuilt Remington 700 in 300 WM to use as test platforms. I also have prior experience with product development from the mountainbike industry.

    REM. 700 Bad or Boring?

Its a bit boring, but it is proven and it works pretty damn well.
