    22/45 upgrades...

Re: 22/45 upgrades... You will have to remove the mainspring housing and remove the barrel to acess the pin located on the bottom. I would recommend a bushnell trs-25 for your optic. some may argue that, but it has proven itself on two of my pistols for several years and is quite compact. I...

    22/45 upgrades...

Re: 22/45 upgrades... you can take a magnet and remove the pin. This will allow the whole assembly to be removed. all you need to remove is the largest of the two springs and the little metal piece in there. This will disable the loaded chamber indicator and prevent failures. Then just...

    Howa 1500 upgrades

Re: Howa 1500 upgrades The polymer bottom metal and mag system is 100 bucks. It's far less than the CDI setup and works quite well if installed correctly. My 300 heats up preatty fast as well, But after 5 rounds my shoulder is ready for a breather so i don't mind letting the barrel cool

    Howa 1500 upgrades

Re: Howa 1500 upgrades I got lucky with mine i guess 5 out of 6 guns had triggers that worked well. The one that didn't had a ton of creep that couldn't be adjusted out without setting it at 4lbs. that is the only one i have replaced

    Howa 1500 upgrades

Re: Howa 1500 upgrades I would get the Bell and Carlson stock and shoot the hell out it. You can't give that barrel a fair shake till its in a rigid full aluminum bedded stock. The houge stock flexed so much while shooting prone that i almost gave up on my first Howa. Once in a better stock...

    Gunsmithing Duracoat/or Hydro-Dip

Re: Duracoat/or Hydro-Dip You also have the option for both. Lauer weaponry (Durcoat) makes a new product that is designed to soak into the hydo dips and provide extra protection. I wish they came out with it a year sooner my 887 nitro mag with max4 hd camo didn't hold up well

    .17HMR and barrel length...

Re: .17HMR and barrel length... A good square crown plays a big part in making a barrel shoot more accurately. Something most factory barrels do not posses. As for the velocity @ the legal limit the 17hmr still outperforms any other rimfire. My new gun is 17in and my old one is still stock...

    .17HMR and barrel length...

Re: .17HMR and barrel length... (GOTCOX) I wish bullberry would edit his page to indicate what the testing was for and what conclusions he is coming to, because i have read in a couple places people show that link and say "See he tested and short is better and more accurate". WOW...

    17hmr Rimfire Section

Re: 17hmr Rimfire Section they work alright so far. Still in the break in period. your factory mags just need a little pinch in the middle to keep that from happening. One of the three 10 rounders I have was doing that. They aren't perfect but worst case your still packin 4 more in your mag

    10/22 Company

Re: 10/22 Company Neither company offers anything of the like. The barrels are actually made by mossberg using a(sporter)chamber, And accuracy was on par with the factory hammer forged ruger barrels. The trigger has nice looking well made parts, but it's not tuned and the pull weight...

    17hmr Rimfire Section

Re: 17hmr Rimfire Section I can't say that many people are gonna try for that 600 yard shot with a 17 though. A canted rail imo is better suited to the rainbow like path of the 22lr. I think most would agree its not a needed thing for the flatter tajectory the 17hmr offers. I would also...

    10/22 Company

Re: 10/22 Company They make quality parts. I bought one of their rifles. Very nice tight machining. It's ruger clone stuff though. don't expect a nice trigger or match grade accuracy out of the box.
