    If you are going to shoot suppressed, my humble opinion is to look at something with an adjustable gas block. Whether you go DI with a Noveske switchblock type or piston with something like and LWRC, it's about preference. Who is John Galt?

    I think it's all about preference. Any quality AR will run piston or gas so long as it's set up correct. I snagged up my new 10.5" LWRC A5 upper which will go on my L-Dub lower. 2 position gas block, but I am a piston fan, nothing against gas, just my preference. Who is John Galt?

    I could be way off the mark here, but isn't this essentially what OSS is accomplishing, only using a fixed turbine muzzle break that channels expelling gases? Forgive me, as it am not an engineer, just seems similar, maybe I'm picturing the op wrong in my head. Who is John Galt?
