Did I burn up my 6GT at a match?

Not trying to take the thread in a different direction, so if the issue is bearing surface and we are assuming that a heavier bullet has a longer bearing surface, what if anything changes with some thing like the all copper bullets with multiple relief rings down the bearing surface?

    side charging upper

Decided I "need" a side charging upper. Having a senior moment, If I get a left side upper can I later change calibers by just changing the bolt head and barrel? I think this is possible with a right side charger but not sure with the left side.

Rifle Scopes Seven Scopes with Issues or Something Else

Since the zero moves and then comes back to original, it would seem that the most likely source would be the scope adjustment mechanism. Most modern scopes use very similar designs as far a s internal adjustments. Col. Cooper may have been correct that a fixed scope and an adjustable mount...

To Torque or Not to Torque?

All these posts about calibration and no one has mentioned it is only correct in a climate controlled environment or the fact that the calibration techs can neither read nor do math. Farmer tight is where it is at! I use 75 ft lbs for either shouldered or barrel nut.

Rifle Scopes Seven Scopes with Issues or Something Else

Am I reading this correctly, the first shot after the "drop" is low but the second is POA? and this without adjusting the scope?

    Hornadys new ELD VT

If I understand correctly, the shape of the buller largely detirmings the BC and that includes the length. Unless someone finds some "shape that allows high BC with shorter bullets AR' are always going to be limited by their mag length. Probably why the .22ARC is a fatter cartridge to allow...

    Opinions On 308 Twist Rates

Re: Opinions On 308 Twist Rates I have never had issues with a 1;10 with bullets a light as 130 gr. and they heavies are fine. I don't think you can get a bullet moving fast enough in a .308 to come apart in the air.
