    Trickler / Scale Expectations

Yep, I shim mine too when using the pencil lead N570. That stuff is so thick and dense, that it has stuck in the trickler tube twice and clogged the flow. Oh well, patience is a virtue.

    Trickler / Scale Expectations

I think a trickler that can reliably throw N570 does not exist. And the speed at which these electronic wonders work is moot to me. And that’s why that “tool” you see is a necessity when throwing N570. The best the V4 has done with N570 is 5 perfect throws in a row. (Only ever done that once.)

Help with a tri pod purchase

After a lot of reading, asking, and evaluating tripods, I chose the Innorel RT90c with an Innorel N52 ball head. Mostly because of the weight rating that it will handle. I mostly use mine for hunting. But I have put a few of my heavy competition rigs on it to try out. For hunting rifles, I use...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph

The nice thing about a Kestrel is that it gives you real time environmentals right at your location. Cell phone weather “grabs” might be miles away from where you are. And they aren’t really real time either. With most weather services I’ve seen on my phone, the updates are at best 10 minutes...

    Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph

Maybe Garmin could incorporate some clever software and get it to talk to a Kestrel’s environmental data. Just a thought, since a lot of range finders talk to the Kestrel for distances.

What did you do in the reloading room today?

De-capped and wet tumbled a couple of hundred cases of varied calibers. Annealed and sized 65 cases of 6.5x47L, then primed them. FL sized 50 pieces of range pick-up once fired LP 6.5CM S&B brass.

One Piece Scope Mounts ..What do you use?

I agree, Richard produces a world class bunch of rings and mounts. I had one of his Alfa-mounts. I agree that he is no internet guru. He concentrates on his product. I’ve met him a couple of times and have been to his shop. He can be a bit of a strange fellow. Nothing serious, but he sometimes...

Powder Splash With Auto Trickler & Area 419 Components

I tried the same set up with my V3. I found getting rid of the Area419 straw fixed any bouncing kernels of extruded powder. The cup stayed. I love their cup. Opps...very old thread. Sorry.

    IMR 4350 vs. H4350 in 6.5 Creedmoor

I’ve found a very accurate load using IMR4350 and the Berger 140gr Hybrid Target bullet. The cases are Lapua and the primers are CCI BR2’s. The rifle has a 26” 1:7.5” Hawk Hills straight (1.25”) pipe. It might not be a screamer (2875fps), but it is very accurate with 44.0gr. I’ve found it easy...

    New Forster FL Bushing Die

i think Forster dies use proprietary bushings and other manufacturers won’t work. But someone else might chime in to say I’m wrong.

    Rotary tumbler for wet cleaning

I used an Extreme tumbler for years. Then I decided to upgrade the drive and roller system. I found a fellow who was working on the project, but he decided to go another route. So I jumped at this. I can fit two of the drums from my Extreme unit on the rollers. So if I have a lot to clean, I...
