    Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 6 3-18 on 338 Lapua

    Thanks for the input. I'm hunting elk on the Oregon coast this year and it gets a little thick over there. But I love the 338 and don't want to use another gun. I've never shot at an animal beyond 800 but just want to keep my options open up to 1000 for antelope or whatever the case may be.

    Berger 300 mag length OAL

    300 grain in 338 Lapua. I've never loaded bullets with more than .030 jump before so It is just a lot more than I am accustom to.

    I just got out the berger 300s for some reloading. I starting measuring them and at a COAL of 3.681" it is giving me about a 0.150" jump to the lands. It put some red flags up as soon as I saw that and I am just wondering if this is normal or if I have an error somewhere. Thanks

    preferred die brand

    I got the redding comp series for the 338 lm. They are very high quality and very reliable. I cant afford them on all my calibers but I wish I could.

    Hunting & Fishing WA/OR Duel state hunting.
