Sidearms & Scatterguns 40 caliber, like or don't like

Re: 40 caliber, like or don't like Don't like, for me the hassle of buying/reloading for another caliber (and the increased snappy recoil and muzzle blast) isn't worth getting one. If I were a LEO and received free ammo that would be another story. Just my opinion, ain't worth much of...

Night Vision A night at WRR with M845 gen2 SHP and Torch Pro

Re: A night at WRR with M845 gen2 SHP and Torch Pro Great report, I think I need to get a Torch Pro. Be nice to have a handheld when I am scanning. I have a PEQ-2 on the gun so I am covered. Standing by for pics!

    Suppressors Title II Questions

Re: Title II Questions I would second the comment of finding a dealer that has the can that you want in stock. A lot of dealers will tell you that they are a dealer for XX brand then 6 months later they finally get your can in stock. Then you submit the paperwork and start the next 6 month...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Pistol question

Re: Pistol question M&P gets my vote but they are all nice. Go to a shop, hold them all. If you can go to a range that rents I would do that. One that may not feel the "best" may actually be the best shooter for you.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Advice deciding on a 1911 in the $1500 range

Re: Advice deciding on a 1911 in the $1500 range My vote is for the TRP without a rail, though that is just a personal preference. I have not shot all of the ones on the list but my buddy has both SAs and while they aren't as nice as my 2 Nighthawks they both shot very well.

    Suppressors AAC 762 SD

Re: AAC 762 SD Yeah, the 762-SD is a great can. It spends time on .308, 6.8, 300BLK and 7.62x39 for me.

    Suppressors Coastal Suppressors

Re: Coastal Suppressors If it is the Costal Guns down in Brunswick GA they make a pretty good 22 can I have heard mixed results about their centerfire rifle cans. I think they have been making cans for 15+ years.

    Very HAPPY with Stainless Tumbler!

Re: Very HAPPY with Stainless Tumbler! I have used a flexhone to clean up a chamber, I don't think I would use it on an aluminum tube. It works wonders on a tight chamber though.

Re: My new pistol has arrived!! :) Beautiful! I bought a Talon II bobtail back in 2007 and less than 3 months later bought a Hard Chrome Predator. Love those pistols, 2 of the best shooting guns I have ever had in my hands.

    338 Ammo, Corbon or Lapua?

Re: 338 Ammo, Corbon or Lapua? A good friend that has been in the 338 game for a while said he finds his best results from a 300gr at 2650fps. I am not sure if he has played with the 250s at all. I think I am tied to the 300gr pills, just have way too much factory ammo in that weight to go...

    338 Ammo, Corbon or Lapua?

Re: 338 Ammo, Corbon or Lapua? I have some BLM land to get on but need to get some larger steel. I think I will keep the Corbon and off load the Lapua. I hate to do it but I just bought a new Mountain bike and need to re-coup the money.

    338 Ammo, Corbon or Lapua?

Re: 338 Ammo, Corbon or Lapua? The reason I ask this is I have too much of each so I am looking at getting rid of one or the other. I only have about 120 rounds through the gun total, most of it Corbon. Checking to see if there is an opinion of which one tends to do better overall historically.

Is it worth putting a muzzel brake on a .308

Re: Is it worth putting a muzzel brake on a .308 I didn't think there would be much of a difference but there was. Mine is very soft shooting now and I only have the AAC brake for mounting my can. If I could have the APA Fat Bastard line with a can...that would be perfect.

    Very HAPPY with Stainless Tumbler!

Re: Very HAPPY with Stainless Tumbler! Well, I guess I just found another reason to get one of these tumblers. How many pieces of 338LM brass can I do per load, that is the questions.
