Rifle Scopes 30mm Burris signature zee rings on .308?

I use them whenever possible. But I do not use my rifles hard. They have many worth while features. I especially like the plastic insert shims to correct for large misalignments between the scope base, rings, and barrel. They do not mar the scope tube and seem to hold well enough. Definitely...

Gunsmithing Sav. Barrel Change, Strip Bolt or Not?

I've done a few barrel changes on my Savage rifles. I use a go and no go gauge to set the head space but I do not remove the firing pin, extractor and ejector from the bolt. This has as worked safety and properly with no problems so far. Yet I often read that these items should be removed for...

    Forster seating die interchangability?

Just a quick reply. I did one a while ago and if remember correctly I had to buy a additional seating stem because the threads are different on the heads. Mine were the micrometer heads. Hope this makes sense. What I'm trying to say is the threads are different on the bullet seating stem and...

    Inline Fab Co-AX parts

I ended up using only one of the arms. I placed one curved arm on the right side of the press which allows me easy access to place the bullet on cartridge for the seating function. The other arm I kept straight so the press does not cam over and has a positive mechanical stop.

    Non-Bushing FL Sizing Die Recommendation

I have had very good results with the Forster FL die for .223. Outstanding low runout, holding a .001 runout easily when using it in a Forster Co-Ax press. Worth considering.

    TOP quality scales

AND fx 120i. There's been plenty of talk about it in this forum. Try the search function. As a matter of fact many people have purchased it from a company in Canada. I believe the company's name is Cambridge something or other. Once the word got out about the price ($400.00) and it features...

Thank you. That's exactly what I was thinking.

Adjusting the cutting head on a Giraurd

Yes , you're absolutely right. My plan was to use a correctly chamfered case and set the head to it. Also I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this .

Adjusting the cutting head on a Giraurd

Hello Members I recently acquired a Giraurd trimmer. The unit works excellently. But, to me it looks as though it chamfers the inside of the neck a bit too much and a bit not enough on the outside. I plan on adjusting the cutter head. As anyone had this experience also and adjusted the...

    Priming tool you use?

Presently I'm using the 21 Century hand priming tool with the square tray. Works well. Has a good feel. A little pricey but worth to me. BTW I tried the Lee Ergo and did not like it at all.

    Preferred method/tool for case trimming

If you're willing to spend the money get the Giraud. Expensive. But worth it in the end. The Best. If not you may want to consider the Forster with the 3 way carbide cutter head. Works well but is much slower and inconvenient.. The WFT trims well but you will still have to chamfer the neck...

    Bench mounted priming tool

I use a Forster Co-Ax and to tell you the truth I never even tried it to prime. Saw a video of a Forster bench priming tool mounted on a block of wood to make it easier and more convenient to use. Looked good. Started thinking about giving it a try. Actually looked like it may be faster and...

    Bench mounted priming tool

Hello Members I've been using the 21th Century hand priming tool with a tray. Not bad. But now I'm considering using a bench mounted priming tool such as the Forster or RCBS. Any info, pros and cons, concerning these tools would be appreciated.

    MISO AR-15 Hood Kit

I shoot Service Rifle at my local club. Presently I'm using a Stalling Machine, MicroSight, rear hooded aperture sight. I'm considering trying out the new MISO AR-15 Hood Kit from Creedmoor Sports. Similar idea (lens inside sight) different company. Anyone have any experience with this new unit?

    best Calipers

You can get by with the Harbor Freight digital calipers. Buy them on sale or use the 20% off coupons to purchase. Nice feature about them is the ability to measure in inches or metric and zero out at any setting. Some of mine tend to stay turned on or easily turn on when lightly bumped. So...
