Best method for deburring the outside of casing

I use a L.E. Wilson (might be a older model) 3 flute (blade?) chamfering tool which has a centering shaft inside the outside chamfering end. I find that the inside shaft helps keep the case centered. This chamfering tool is secured inside a Sinclair SS adaptor which has a 1/4 hex drive. This...

    Beam vs. Digital scales

It's good but not as good as the A@D. My first one (Gem Pro 250) went belly up after only 5 or 6 sessions. Mailed it in and did receive a replacement promptly. But even with the extra cost I'd go A@D.

    Beam vs. Digital scales

I also have the Gem Pro 250. Darn good scale for the money. But it did tend to drift a bit more and be slower and not as repeatable as fast. It's good but not as good as the A@D 120i. I like the small size which allows me to place it in my reloading box when I reload at the range. For...

    Beam vs. Digital scales

I throw my charges (currently Varget) with a Harrell's powder thrower then place the pan on the A&D 120i and trickle with a Omega 2 speed powder trickler ( which is a outstanding trickler). Goes fairly fast.

Yes, Prometheus, the ultimate without a doubt but until then.

    Beam vs. Digital scales

Exactly what Aimsmall55 said. If you can still buy it for $400.00 jump on it. I paid over $600.00 for mine and at the time I thought it was a good deal. For $400.00 it's a steal. Believe us, it's accurate, fast, repeatable with minimal drift and has a 5 year warranty. The only con is that...

    Recommendation for concentricity gauge

I have them all. Accuracy One the best. The most Expensive.

Primer seater recommendation - Forster or someone else?

May want to consider a 21st Century Shooting priming tool. Has a good feel and the convenience of a large square Lee tray. A bit expensive at $ 90.00 without a tray but it's fast and easy to use. It's the one I'm presently using.

Fatal Error Message on Sniper's Hide?

I'm in the same boat. What's up?

    Choate stock

The one thing I don't care for is the bottom of the rear is flat which makes it difficult to make any elevation adjustments when shooting off of bags.

Which .223 die set to use

Recently I've been using a Forster FL sizing die. But I use it on a single stage press ( Forster Co-Ax ). Gives me absolutely great results. Resizing once fired Black Hills ( blue box ) LC brass with it gives me a neck run out of .001 more or less at the max unless the neck thickness is very...

    Forster CO-AX

The easy slide in and out die design is fantastic. Once you set up your dies it's simply a matter of sliding the die in and out to use. It's actually faster than a turret press. Also the primer catch system is great. You will not be disappointed.

    Gunsmithing Cleaning Jag Size Question...

I've often thought how convenient it would be to have a lathe ( something small) to be able to do some small jobs like that. Some years ago I wondered why jags weren't made out of aluminum. No false readings and a softer metal to boot. And you could drill the front of the jag to accept a small...

Gunsmithing can you put a muzzle brake ina tumbler to clean it?

A bit off the subject but I've used plain old vinegar to help loosen and remove lead and carbon deposits from a SS compensator which was mounted on a Ruger MK II pistol. I dunked the whole thing into the vinegar and let it sit for a few days. It will loosen the deposits but will still require...

    Rifle Scopes T-36 weaver

It may have a 1/4 or 1/8 minute dot in the intersection of the cross hairs. I personally prefer fine cross hairs. With fine cross hairs I can quarter a 1/4" black dot at 200 yards. Great for checking load development.

    Reliable AR15 22LR conversion kit.

I have the AR 15/M 16 M261 conversion kit which I purchased from Sarco Inc. It may be a surplus military unit? Anyway, it is a all steel unit and well made in my opinion. I bought it last fall for about $100 or so. It uses a all steel 10 round magazine which fits into a standard AR 15...

    Rifle Scopes T-36 weaver

I've got a couple of them. I like them. I'm no expert on glass but I think their decent. I like the fine cross hairs, the adjustable objective and the 1/8 minute adjustments. I like to use them when I'm shooting at 200 yards for certain load developments. I have the older models about 6 to 8...

Gunsmithing Truth about blueprinting a Rem 700

I agreed. How in the world does someone measure to .0001" the difference of distance between two or more holes in a paper target?

    Which concentricity gauge?

You will love it. Starting with the one handed operation feature, no more holding the cartridge down and trying to spin it at the same time. Place the cartridge on the extremely easy to adjust ( magnetic base) rollers, swing the arm down and spin away. The design keeps the cartridge in place...
