    Stainless Steel Media Testimonials

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials I use the dual tub rock tumbler from harbor freight and I use about a tablespoon of dawn, 1/2 32 acp shell of lemi-shine, 3 hour tumble then pull them out towel dry and let air dry over night. I really don't care about how shiny they get I just wanted...

    Stainless Steel Media Testimonials

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials Anyone else have this problem? I run my .308 for 3 hours and it comes out looking like polished gold. I leave it out to dry overnight and by morning its starting to look dull again. I tried running it through again and again the same result. My pistol...

    Cleaning dies with stainless media/tumbler?

Has anyone ever tried throwing dies in a stainless media tumbler setup? I just got set up to tumble with stainless and I have seen how well it works on brass, didn't know if it would hurt the dies or mess them up in any way.

Shot a sub-moa group today finally

Re: Shot a sub-moa group today finally If you can, reload your own ammo. I tried a lot of factory ammo and it wasn't until I started reloading my own that my guns started shooting much better. Handloaded ammo really does make a huge difference, at least in my AAC it did. If you have...

    AAC-SD break in period???

Re: AAC-SD break in period??? I think I got it shooting right. The action was not torqued correctly. It will shoot 3/4 moa at 100 yrds now no problem. I'm going to try it out at 500 hopefully tomorrow. Im sure with a better trigger and better shooter it could do better than that. I still...

Any good ideas of getting better groups?

Re: Any good ideas of getting better groups? Go do a ladder test you will see a big difference. I did a ladder test and found my perfect load. Without it I would have been greatly disappointed. Even though a certain load will work well in another gun just like yours doesn't mean it will...

    AAC-sd/ 175smk+varget

Re: AAC-sd/ 175smk+varget I just got done working up a load for my AAC-SD. My first run was with 175 SMK, FED 210M primers, 42 grains varget, COAL 2.85. Lyman COAL says 2.8 but mine is pretty long so I went with 2.85. A good number of people run 44 grains varget with the 175 SMK but I...

    Reloading Kits

Re: Reloading Kits I agree with Lightman. Kits are ok, but its usually better to go with something you put together yourself. I have a Redding Big Boss II, Forster trimmer, Lee powder measure, Redding scale, and I'm about to get a RCBS hand primer and I love them all. Do some searching on...

New stock for R700 SPS Tactical, with a catch.....

Re: New stock for R700 SPS Tactical, with a catch..... HS Precision with a palm swell would probably work well. I had one on my AAC-SD and was a great stock but I'm short and have smaller hands and really did not like the palm swell. I imagine it would be a perfect fit for a larger hand.

    Redding "smart primer" creases primer

Re: Redding "smart primer" creases primer I have checked/cleaned the arm to make sure there is nothing external that could be causing the problem. I will try and post pics up tomorrow. I emailed redding but I have never dealt with them so I don't know what to expect as far as customer...

    Redding "smart primer" creases primer

Re: Redding "smart primer" creases primer I made sure I'm using the correct attachment because the large primer will not even fit in the smaller primer attachment. I'm definitely planning on getting a hand primer I have just spent so much money already I'm trying to keep it as economical as...

    Redding "smart primer" creases primer

I just got the Redding Big Boss II and when I use the "smart primer" to prime my cases it is leaving a crease in my primers. The primer seats fine but leaves a crease all the way across the middle of the primer. Its not very deep but I don't want to set off a primer when priming and didn't know...

    AAC-SD break in period???

Re: AAC-SD break in period??? I did mount them myself with 2 small levels and some loc-tite. It took me about an hour because I'm pretty meticulous and wanted it to be perfect.

    AAC-SD break in period???

Re: AAC-SD break in period??? I have my fingers crossed. The gun has not shot right since the day I got it brand new. I have had a brand new gun for the last few months and have spent so much time being frustrated trying to get it to shoot right I can't even enjoy it. I really appreciate...

    AAC-SD break in period???

Re: AAC-SD break in period??? I was afraid of that. Just looking at it and moving it everything looks and feels solid but I know there could still be issues. I have already contacted Remington about it and am waiting for their reply. I'm not too worried about it I had an issue with something...

    AAC-SD break in period???

Re: AAC-SD break in period??? Yeah I don't know what's wrong with this thing. I took the stock off today before I shot to look it all over everything looks good. The only thing left is to take the scope, rings, and base off tomorrow and remount everything. I'm going to take the brake off to...

    AAC-SD break in period???

Re: AAC-SD break in period??? Here is a ladder test i did just today to try and figure out what the heck is going on. I was shooting prone from 500 yards. I tried shooting in 4 shot groups of 42, 43, 44, and 45 grains of varget, 175 SMK, 2.90 COAL, Federal 210 primer. The shot group from...

    Savage a better deal?

Re: Savage a better deal? I will tell you from direct experience with the AAC-SD it has been a HUGE pain in the ass ever since I bought it brand new about four months ago. I am still trying to get it to shoot right and still can't get it to shoot even MOA. Not only that but I have been...
