Suppressors TiRant 45 Owners: Using TiRant 45 on 9mm

Yes. It is. I was asking for recipes using 147s with 700x powder. For me to load and try out.

Suppressors TiRant 45 Owners: Using TiRant 45 on 9mm

Copy that. Will see if I can find 147gr or a threaded bbl for my P226 first. Anyone have any pet recipes for 147gr over 700x? Might be easier for my to find projectiles than loaded 147.

Suppressors TiRant 45 Owners: Using TiRant 45 on 9mm

I'll see if I can source some, but don't have any currently. Have you gotten yours to work on lighter projectile 9mm?

Suppressors TiRant 45 Owners: Using TiRant 45 on 9mm

Have any of you run your TiRant 45 on a 9mm host? I got the 1/2x28 piston and threaded barrel for my full size M&P VTAC 9mm. It refuses to cycle at all on factory 115gr ammo. Maybe 10-20% stove pipe, the other 80-90% don't even cycle back far enough to stove pipe, the empty brass just stays in...

Colorado members, I need your help!

I'm going shooting at CRC tomorrow. If anyone would like to join, let me know. I am willing to bring up to 2 guests who are not members. I'll be zeroing my new DTA and gathering dope on my 22LR for the Sunday 22LR steel prairie dog match. Will also do a bit of carbine and pistol shooting, but...

Savage 10T (308 WIN) with max OAL 2.700 inches?

That seems a bit short, but not crazy. Luckily short is easier to correct than long if you so desire, just needs a reamer put in it again. Generally speaking with rifle ammo, shorter OAL (within reason) means less pressure. The rifle cases are big enough that as a percentage you are not...

Sidearms & Scatterguns really short barrel .308

308 Pistol? Good for you. Thats awesome. The only thing to consider is relocating or removing the front sight, as threading it will need the front site removed. Still any competent 'smith should be able to handle it.

Show your new for 2014 AR!

My 264LBC/6.5 Grendel is finally DONE. The picture does not include the Harris bipod and some camo form to wrap the scope and make it match the rifle, which are both now installed, but you get the idea. And the brake is timed now, pic was taken before it was shimmed and timed. The Goodies...

    Suppressors Direct thread cans

I think Zak hit it on the head. People know a direct thread will at least mount consistently. Granted there are other variables in making an accurate can, but that can be crossed off the list. Unfortunately, there have been a couple of QD mounts that aren't so stellar, and the can...

Rifle Scopes Best 1-6 or 1-8 FFP scope?

It isn't cheap, but I really like my Bushnell Elite Tactical SMRS. Its FFP 1-8.5. Being FFP, when illuminated at 1x it is daylight bright and looks just like a red-dot when you turn up the illumination. But then you can increase the mag and you see mil compensation marks, pretty effin...

    Intermittent problem with Remington 700

Yep, sounds like it isn't resetting. Probably trigger, but could be a small change that it is sear or bolt/pin as well.

Rifle Scopes help with mil-dot calculations….casue I am brain farting

I've double checked the math, and I believe it is correct... so I offer the following question purely to learn, not to question your response: As far as I can see, the error induced would be limited to the true mil value not being at the true magnification value, or the true magnification value...

Hornady Case Prep Center & 3 in 1 Trimmers

Takes a bit to get the length of the case dialed in on the trimmer, but then it works great. The other drivers are just like a normal case prep center, those without the trimmer. The rotation could be 25-30% faster, but thats just splitting hairs. I love mine.

Rifle Scopes help with mil-dot calculations….casue I am brain farting

If my engineering degree isn't failing me, the following formula should work for you. Mils * (Mil Mag / Current Mag). So if your hold is 2 mils @12x (your mil magnification) and you want 20x you do: 2 * ( 12 / 20 ) = 1.2 mils Ranging / sizing with the reticle should use the reverse...

Denver 7-11 Hostage (taker) Shot - why the torso?

Reports around here say they shot him in the right shoulder, his gun holding shoulder. I suppose in a way it makes sense... if you hit the shoulder square and center, there is no way he is not dropping the handgun, and therefore able to shoot the hostage. On paper it makes sense to avoid the...

    Maggie’s Socially UNacceptable Humor

You guys have probably heard this one, and it is more of a question than a Joke: What do you think fish tasted like before they let women in the ocean?

Rem 700 300WM.... police or build???

Get the police. That barrel will shoot sub moa, and you can upgrade it later when funds allow.

will i need more than a 20moa to get too 1000 yrds?

I run right at 10 mils to get to 1000m (1100yd) with a 20 moa base, S&B PMII and 168 SMKs @2630. This leaves me with plenty of elevation left if I need it for further. A 30MOA base will make some scopes unable to zero @100. Just beware of that if you decide to go bigger.

    Rifle Scopes Steiner question

I know for a fact that Burris houses (or did until a couple months ago if they happened to move) some of the US operations for Steiner. Not sure if any scopes are there. I might have heard it was the Bino's last time I was up at the Burris plant, but that could be my bad memory too. From what...

    ideal FPS .308 168 ?

Yes, sounds a bit slow to me, others may disagree... but if it groups, that is more important than velocity. ETA... if it is the SPS tactical it should be a 1:10 twist. Are you certain it is a 1:12 twist? That slower twist should be giving you a hair more velocity too.
