    Ya, no, I don't think so. The only reason The Troubles are over in Northern Ireland is because its citizens decided they were over. Neither the British Army nor the Royal Ulster Constabulary ever came close to subduing any population. It will be ten times worse for the would be oppressors here.

    What do all of them have in common? They were perpetrated against people who were, by and large, unarmed. Not saying that what you describe can't happen here. It's just that I think the results will likely be different, and with the oppressor paying a MUCH higher price.

    And that is simply a summary offense, since he was not trespassing in school grounds and he was never verbally told to leave the premises. See 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. § 3503(b)(2). It's not even a misdeamenor.

    Hospital gun free zones are a state by state deal. I have not found evidence that PA makes hospitals prohibited places by statute. IMO, and IANAL, the doc is legally OK. He might find himself unemployed or stripped of his hospital/clinic priviledges by Mercy Hospital. But he's alive.

    You would think so. However that is not how our legal system works. Because of that, I am less and less inclined to intervene in any violent episode unless I or someone directly connected to me is threatened. If others choose to be unarmed and defenseless, that's a choice they made as adults...

    I'd go so far as letting the attorney do all the talking on my behalf. No need to fake chest pains or say you need to calm down. Just tell them that you will not give any statement until consulting with legal counsel. That is all they need to know.
