    Pics from tornado cleanup

Re: Pics from tornado cleanup This was a small old house... you can see I was standing at the edge of the foundation where the chimney fell Here's what's left of the walls & roof scattered into the woods for about 50 yards

    Pics from tornado cleanup

Heres some pics from earlier today. Myself & 2 other local Hide members use this farm to shoot out to 500 yards, & of course the twister last Saturday went right through the middle of it! The last I heard it was rated as an F2 & was on the ground for 26 miles, 16 of those were in Halifax County...

Badger M2008 Covert , Pics Up

Re: Badger M2008 Covert , Pics Up Chris, how is the accuracy so far on your 208 AMAX subsonic loads? Just curious as I've been using these in My 16" Savage subsonic gun for a while now with 12.5 grains of Trailboss & they are quite accurate in my rifle.

Rifle Scopes Sub $1000 FFP scopes

Re: Sub $1000 FFP scopes My opinion is biased for the Weaver Tactical 3-15 EMDR, hell of a scope for the $$$... but I honestly don't see how you could go wrong with any of the first 3 scopes you have listed. The SS may be a nice scope, but I agree with Team-Send-It on the magnification range...

Rifle Scopes Field Test: Weaver 3-15 vs. Vortex PST 4-16 & 6-24

Re: Field Test: Weaver 3-15 vs. Vortex PST 4-16 & 6-24 Nice review John! Glad you got the chance to compare these side x side and I honestly don't think a person could go wrong with any of these 3 scopes for the cash outlay. Also good to see the "new kid" Weaver stacks up favorably to the...

Rifle Scopes Best scope for under $1000

Re: Best scope for under $1000 strider09, the 4-20 Weaver is not illuminated & has the plain mil-dot reticle. The 3-15 I posted the link to has the EMDR reticle & has red/green illumination, so I really prefer this model. I am hoping they will make the 4-20 with the new reticle & illum...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Lenny, I think the 28 oz weight is correct. It definitely feels & appears well built, like it should be able to take some punishment. My scope measures 13-3/4" from ocular to objective with Butler creek caps on it. Aron, glad to be any help bro! I think you...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Yes, I've had some range time with mine... it passed the box test easily & I have shot it out to 500 yards so far. Tracking out to that distance & back has been great, but it is a pretty minor adjustment (2.7 mils IIRC) on my 260. A tornado went right through...

    260 Rem powder

Re: 260 Rem powder Ran some test loads with H4350 & 140 AMAX's the other day. Out of 8 charge weights (from 41.8 - 43.2 gr in .2 gr increments) I had 6 group at .5 MOA or better & all were better than 16 on SD. Now I gotta wring some out at distance & see how they fare...

Member Link Up HELLO FROM VIRGINIA

Re: HELLO FROM VIRGINIA No real "ranges" other than little local gun clubs that go out to 200- 300 yards. We have a couple of spots on farms here where we can get 500-600. Still looking for somewhere to get 1000+ though. Plenty of farms around, but it's tricky to get someone to let you shoot...
