Tried a new DA solver system

Re: Tried a new DA solver system ggmanning, thanks for the review! Sounds like a great little system, I think I'll be ordering a couple of these to try out this week. Out of curiosity, how long did it take to get your custom wheels done & shipped to you?

    Weird e-mail from "UPS"...

Hey guys, I guess this could be considered a warning... I got an e-mail the other day that was supposedly from UPS, but had a .RAR zip file attached to it. The zip file was supposed to have the tracking info in it according to the e-mail message. When I tried to open it my computer flashed up...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Paul, glad you like it so far. I've been quite impressed by this scope in the short time I've had it. Definitely hard to beat for quality & features vs cost. As you said, it will be the test of time & usage that will ultimately tell the tale. Will be...

    Fieldcraft Good Non-Fiction Sniper Book...?

Re: Good Non-Fiction Sniper Book...? I agree with ya, Recko555... Lone Survivor is a helluva good book! I read it from cover to cover in one day, just could not put it down. Not a lot of technical sniping info like some of the other books mentioned, but the story is riveting & 100% worth...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Norcal, I'm liking the open reticle. It's TINY, so much so that have to look for it to really notice it at all. This scope does have 1/2 mil hash marks, if you look at the pics I put further up the page here on 10x & 15x you can make them out. The 15x pic was a...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Hey guys, I did get to the local range yesterday & was able to try out the scope at 100 & 200 yards. It passed the box test easily @ 100 yards & the reticle subtension was spot on at that distance with the bullet holes. I will be going to our "informal" 500...

    Rifle Scopes Zeiss scopes

Re: Zeiss scopes All but one (the 3-12x56)of the Conquest scope line have 1" tubes & don't have a lot of erector (elevation) travel. I had to use Burris Zee rings with the offset inserts to get a 100 yard zero on my 223AI due to the Badger 20 moa rail. Aside from the lack of travel, they are...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Badger 20 moa with Seekins mediums & BC caps here... just got my rings today & permanently mounted the new scope. There's enough clearance between the magnification ring & the base to see daylight and not much more. Had to mount it like this due to the gobs of...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 sititunga1, the illuminated reticle is daylight visible. Dependent on background & brightness outside, you'd likely have to use the brighter of the settings (3-5). jrob300, here is the reticle in this scope, the EMDR ...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 You can leave the turrets unlocked. Mine will probably stay that way on the range. Locking them IMHO, would be better for insuring the turrets don't get accidentally moved in transport while in a drag bag or soft case. All you do is pull up to unlock, or push...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Flyingbullseye, the Butler Creeks are a #18 eyepiece & a #44 objective. I saw an old review on the 4-20 Weaver & the dimensions were the same for the 3-15. I was pleasantly surprised on the amount of travel as well! I'll be going out Wednesday & shooting...

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 On 10x with front cap closed & illumination on setting #1 green... On 15x with same setting (didn't come out as clear as I hoped)... Please excuse the krylon camo'd rings LOL! Obviously belong on another rifle! Turrets are locked down in this pic...

Rifle Scopes New Weaver tactical 3-15x50

Re: New Weaver tactical 3-15x50 Yep, I think the illum is just about perfect for my intended uses. Set on 5 the illum is daylight visible. I just took mine outside in the dark & set on 1 it stands out, but is definitely not overpowering at all. No "bloom" like you see on a lot of lower end...
