    Re: C prefix +1 to mjh, some "C" prefix actions were used by the USMC to rebuild some of the M40A1's back in the 80's. They are considered "correct" for an M40A1/A3 build, hence the "preferred C prefix".

    Re: Ring height question I had this scope in Nightforce Ultralight .885" rings on a Warne 20 MOA rail. Mounted on my old 260AI with a 1" straight contour barrel and it cleared on that with probably 1/8" to the objective bell and "tight" with a Butler Creek cap on it.
