    50cal bullet design...

I am sure it will work but the boat tail has some necessity in the design. I am not a ballistics expert either but i know the shape will affect the flight. Let us know how they come out on the sherline. I was looking into those but never went for it just because I was afraid of the accuracy of...

Barrel length for 338 Lapua at ELR

I have a 30" barrel with a 9.4 twist. It shoots the 300 grain pills very well at around 2800 FPS. If you want to shoot it for ELR normally you want to go as fast as possible. Also, you have to take into account that the longer the barre,l the longer the interval is between your harmonic...

Most Accurate factory 50bmg on the market???

I also have a 338-408 I also have a 50 bmg from EDM arms that is Heavily modified Both Shoot awesome. But If i had to choose to take one out hunting I would take the 338. It is much lighter than a .50 and it will actually shoot farther than the 50 but it won't have as much energy. I was...

    now I'm getting frustrated

When it comes to reloading here is what I learned gets you to a load quickest. Forget ladder loads. Get "Quickload" software. It is expensive but it will make up for it fast with less loads you have to try. With the length of your barrel you have certain harmonic frequencies that it has...

    now I'm getting frustrated

Reaper, It sounds like the mounting is good. You won't believe how much cheek weld, parallax adjustment can screw you over. If you have a load shooting good. Make more of those rounds and do an exercise. Shoot three rounds without taking off your cheek off the rifle. Then take your face off the...

    375 cheytac or 338 edge

I would also recommend looking into the 338 snipetac. I have shot that thing over 2500 yards and it is a tack driver. Also, very powerful downrange. If you go to the 6mm br site one guy with this rig had something like a 3.8 inch group at a mile. Pretty impressive. I also have a 338 lapua...

    Building 338 lapua help

My 338 lapua build I did a few years back consists of a Rock creek barrel in a 1:9.4 twist 30" long with an ABS carbon wrap with my own built muzzle brake. The action is a Stiller 338 on my own custom built stock. But you could use a manners stock instead. I take this hunting every year and...

    Simply Outrageous -- 14.9mm Rifle

Yes I am doing all the machine work Yes I designed the rifle. I am making a few. If you are in the manufacturing business you would understand that things can go bad during manufacturing. Making a few extra and have one fall out is better than having to start all over and setup the machines...

    Simply Outrageous -- 14.9mm Rifle

The bipod assembly is mounted to a tube that has .125" clearance between the bipod tube and the barrell shroud. On the barrel shroud there are two mounts that have guide bushings in them for two 5/8 rods. If you look at the photo you will see two rods that are used to guide the floating bipod...
