Need help: I can't get the same COAL!!
I've been trying to load 162 A-Maxs for my 7/08. I can't get the same overall length. I'm getting a range off.020 over 5 rounds. I used 2 different seating dies, measured every case but no change. I loaded 2 other bullet types and they were spot on with the same dies. I have never loaded bullets...- spotshot

7-08 loads with 162 grain bullets?
I was wanting to start shooting long range targets out to a 1000 yds in the off season just for fun. Does anyone have in good loads for the 7/08 using 162 grain bullets? I was also curious if I can get to 2700 fps with a 162 grn bullet? I have a 24" barrel with a 1:9 twist.- spotshot
