    Look in the hunting section theres a thread about best budget 400-1000 $ scopes then check their specs for weight and maximum elevation travel, then look at reticle choices. The "best" is a realitive term.That only you can determine. Good luck.

    Funny I have hunted all over Texas, and I dont like carrying more weight than I have to ... so in no particular order , vortex hd lh 3x15, leupold vx5 , zeiss v4 4x16, 3x15 super sniper just to stirr the pot.Of course if you sit in a blind get a Razor or AMG.

    remingon factory barrel, none are perfect some are better than others, hence the term "Remington roulette".you roll the wheel every time you buy one. Ask me how I know.

    No,not with out gaps never tried to see if it would feed from bdl bottom metal in a m5 stock if you want pics let me know. ill can also pull my rifle apart and see if it will feed.

    Oklahoma=sleeper state...I work in Ok but live in Texas some of the guys I work with shoot some very nice deer every year in Ok, verrrry nice buck.
