Observations On The Effect Of Parallax Error When Shooting With An Aimpoint Comp M5 And A Trijicon MRO

@koshkin Is there a relationship between optic diameter and parallax? Example: full-size aimpoint vs micro. My assumption is that assuming similar optics the larger optic would have a larger deviation if the dot was placed in an extreme position in the FOV. But I would imagine that there are...

Range Report .30-06 Terminal Ascent 175gr

Got another range session in with this ammo. Shot a sighter at 500yds then printed this 4 1/8" , 5 shot group. I know it's not fantastic, but I'm pretty tickled with a bonded factory hunting round that shoots sub minute with me behind the gun. The g7 BC of .258 tracked right on out to 1k on...

    Optics **SOLD** Leupold D-EVO

I bought this used off the hide here a couple years ago and it's just not my cup of tea. Glass is in great shape, the cerakote (or whatever it is) has taken a bit of a beating where the ejected brass hits it. It's got a strange babyshit green color scheme from the Leupold custom shop. No box...

Applied Ballistic App Environmental Confusion and Other Questions

I don't believe it would as the custom curve would also be a set of Drag coefficients vs Mach numbers. The curve will more closely match your projectile vs just scaling the G1 or G7 curve by your BC. But you're Mach number will still be based off of the air temp. I used DA for quick reference...

Applied Ballistic App Environmental Confusion and Other Questions

I don't know how AB "calculates" spin drift so I can't help with the second part of the question, but my gut tells me you would want to calculate your wind drift, then add/subtract your spin drift to it. I'll take a stab at the quoted part though. A G funtion is essentially a set of drag...
