    a 16" Grendel should hit 800 without issues. I've taken my 16" out to 800 with factory ammo, 123 ELD and 123 AG (2400-2450 fps). The scope mount and scope sound like they're part of the problem.     I haven't seen the other scopes listed but I think the Burris RT6 is the best deal for the price. You can check with Doug at Cameralandny or Sport Optics, both have great prices.

    No like ormandj said 6mm have better bc. And to give you some numbers to looks at. I’ve shot Defender 107 TMKs thru a 16 and 18” Grendels. I got 2542 and 2567. That just won’t stay close to a 6 ARC or 224V
