    Re: fired case won't fit after resizing ? You might need to "cam over" the press. Move the shell holder out of the way and turn the die down another 1/8 turn.

    I just had a rifle chambered with the 243 WSSM Match reamer. My loaded brass has a neck diameter of .284". The reamer's neck diameter was .282". So the gunsmith is going to ream the neck to .287". Is this enough clearance?

    Re: 270 wsm loads Its probably a 10 twist. My Winchester 70 270WSM shoots 1/2 MOA shooting 130 SSTs .003" off the lands 65.5 grains of RL-19 with 215M primers - 3260 MV from a 24" barrel. And it shoots 150 Bergers at 1 MOA.

    Re: Too much time to reload,is this normal. I am not a Lee fan EXCEPT for their case trimmers. You do need one for each caliber but they are only a few dollars. Chuck the trimmer in a drill or cordless screwdriver, spin the case for a couple seconds and you're done.

    Re: Thou shalt NOT break-in your new rifle But its the transition from reamer to hand lapped barrel. Ask Kreiger. Or Walt Berger. But you don't need to shoot & clean, shoot & clean, etc. However it is wise to make sure that transition is lacking burrs, etc.

    Re: Real difference beetween .223 and .22-250 @1k? My 223 wssm 27" Kreiger barrel pushing 55 moly VMax's at 3935 fps lasted 1300 rounds. At that point a borescope showed 2" throat erosion. Groups had gone from .25MOA to .75MOA and velocity had dropped to 3770 fps. It is now being converted...

    Re: 7mm projectiles Greg, I totally agree. I happen to have some 130 SSTs loaded for antelope in my 270 WSM. When you look at 3260 MV with a .460 G1 BC, it can really reach out there.
