    Savage 223 stabilizes 75 ELDM but not 50 GR Vmax

    I shot some reloads (50Gr Vmax, 26Gr Varget, CCI 400, once fired LC brass) with my Savage. It’s keyholing. Interestingly it’s still pretty accurate with just over 1” at 100Y. The same gun shoots 75 ELDM at 0.5 MOA with no keyholing. I’m really surprised that the Savage, with its 1/9 twist...

    KOD, I like the wood on that Steyr.... It sure is a pretty rifle. What are your thoughts on the action and the trigger of the Steyr? How does it compare to your Tikka or your Anschutz? It's priced somewhere in between, so it would be interesting to get your thoughts.

    If your goal is training for cheap on a 22lr and replicate your center rifle. Yes, you're right. Shooting the cheaper ammo (SK+) is the way to go. If your goal is to shoot your 22lr to it's maximum accuracy potential, then it will cost you. One last thing. It's good to try a few expensive ammo...

    50 rounds shot over 12 hours going into 1 hole!!! I call this BS and doesn’t matter what rifle was used. You spread this widely on RFC, now you’re doing this here. BS is BS. Doesn’t matter which site you put it on. Whoever believes this target was shot the way you describe it is naive.
