Delta airlines bugaloo 2 yeah baby!!!!

Main line Delta, or CRJ Regional? Big difference in experience in the cockpit. I agree a 30 kt crosswind with a wing that low is no joke and this probably happens more than you would guess. I use to fly DC8’s and it didn’t take much to hit an inboard engine on the ground in a strong gusty...

    Best All Around Supressor(titanium)

Depends on your use. My understanding is this is only a possible issue if you’re trying to use something like a 30 cal magnum with a short barrel; think 20” 300PRC. Otherwise, you’re ok.

    anemometer recommendation?

https://kestrelmeters.com/products/kestrel-5700-ballistics-weather-meter-with-hornady-4dof My question to all you who use the Kestrels geared toward hunting with a ballistics program is one of the features listed for them vs the forestry models, is wind direction. I’m not sure how it...

    anemometer recommendation?

How about one of these, I haven’t used one, but they look pretty capable: https://tempest.earth/weather-meter-for-shooting/ I’m kind of in the same boat. I am wanting a weather meter so I have better data in my ballistics app (Chairgun, I know, but I can’t get Strelok back on my iPhone) for...

Who Makes the Best Switch Barrel Rifle?

Well, since you didn’t specify a certain use, I love my Blaser R93; probably not what you’re looking for though, even in the new R8. If only they made a mag fed chassis rifle…..

    You Can't Make This Up.

Yep, those that can’t do, teach; typically not very effectively either.

    Slow 308

How old is your son? Is he actually holding the rifle or shooting off a tripod?

    Slow 308

If you are not shooting over 250 yards I would run a Nosler 125 Solid Base, a Hornady 125 SS, or a Barnes 130 TTSX. All of those should work on deer out to 250 even if you start them slow.

Thoughts on the Aero Precision SOLUS ?

On 12/18/24, I contacted Aero they only way you could, via some message form on their website, and told them a small screw fell out of my Solus Chassis mag catch and disappeared at the gun range. Three days ago, I got a email from them requesting my address so they could mail a replacement...

    Help overwhelmed first thermal

Yeah, @TheHorta will be right along soon to help you see your NEED to spend $10,000; right after he gets home from church, it is Sunday you know, and his wife gives him his electronic devices back so he can get on the hide. :) Kidding aside, he is one of the most knowledgeable people around in...

    Suspicion about child births

Follow the money. It’s totally a money grab. If they induce early there’s a higher chance of a c section and once you go that way most can’t have a v-back in the future. They make more money on a c section. The insurance companies have so squeezed health care that your care is now predicated...

who likes the 300 wsm ?

Thanks. Also, from the listed manufacturers above, is your buddy wanting a 20” production gun, or cutting a barrel on a production gun, or is he using a production action and a custom barrel? Suppressor? Loading your own ammo or factory ammo?

who likes the 300 wsm ?

I see what you thinking, if the op doesn’t reload, you’re probably right, a 300 win mag or even a 300 PRC would offer more choices in factory ammo. Looks like the op is in New Zealand, I’m not sure what the ammo availability looks like there, but Federal and Hornady load ammo for the WSM with...

who likes the 300 wsm ?

I don’t have any personal data as of yet, but from what I’m reading, a 20” 300 WSM should get 200 grain pill moving a bit over 2800 fps, while a 30-06 with a 24” barrel is still around 2675 fps. It should be somewhere in between a 30-06 and 300 win. I do have a 20” 300 WSM PVA Osprey barrel...

    POTUS Joint Address to Congress

Yeah, but those blue box punching voters will do it over and over to their own demise. I’ll believe people are actually using their brains and can critically think again when places like Chicago go red in an election; until then, I remain skeptical they can ever jumpstart their cognitive...

    M14/M1A built or buy??

You can’t go wrong with a LRB. I have a Springfield and an early SN Rock-Ola from James River Armory. I had to replace a number of parts in the Springfield with mil surplus parts to make it reliable; there’s a thread about which ones need replacing on M14forum. I’ve run them suppressed, but...

Guess who's going to save NYC? Heh

I’m guessing those idiots who live and vote there will overwhelmingly vote him in and get what they deserve, more money flying out of their pockets to a thief.

“Texas Plinking” 1 MOA/1K Yard Challenge Videos

Seems like the guys shooting the 30 calibers, if they have a good brake and the gun is heavy, can see the splash and make adjustments, but it doesn’t take too much change in wind to move the shot off the 10” target at 1000. I wanted to see that guy with the 300 WSM get to try the 1000 group as...

“Texas Plinking” 1 MOA/1K Yard Challenge Videos

Mea Culpa. I mentioned that watching all these episodes led me to the conclusion that shooting that far on game animals is for the few, very few, that are very well trained. People buying rifles that will ethically take game at that distance by and large have no business trying it. Most...

Left meltdown over Post Office Reform..

Just another fact that proves liberals are idiots and mentally ill is the fact they want and trust government to run everything when it’s a glaring reality that what they do run, they run straight off the cliff every single time.
