    Piggyback Red Dot Mount

    I could've but it would've put the red dot back closer to the turret and made it awkward to adjust the turrets without moving the optic and mount around to free up some space maintain eye relief. This solution was simpler for me.

    The AIM Surplus Armalite barrels were too good to pass up, I mean nitrided stainless, 5R rifling, 1:7 twist, I bought one just to keep as a spare. A friend of mine shot a factory Armalite gun and his SS barrel was fast for a 16" and accurate as all get out.

    The janky Monstrum Tactical set up held up well so I imagine that the Reptilia will do just fine. With it torqued around the scope tube I don't see it being anymore prone to slipping than the scope in the rings or other tube mounted accessories. It's not ideal but similar set ups have been used.

    Funny you mentioned Altamont, I've been familiar with them for a while and I was looking at a set of their walnut slim grips just today. I didn't want a set of grips with the gaudy Ruger logo on them and these seem to fit the bill.

    Why do you think the bipod needs to get ~1 1/2” farther forward? It’s rhetorical, your bipod position is fine. I’d be more concerned with positioning the bipod where I can reach it to make adjustments without having to come out of position.
