    Marksmanship Cheat Sheet

I put this together a while back to keep in my range bag as a cheat sheet but I made a couple of changes to it so I thought I'd share it with you all, some may find it useful. The theory is that it can help a shooter with a basic carbine make accurate sight corrections, set up a fairly...

LPVO w/ offset red dot, why?

This is an old thread but I've really come around to a piggy backed red dot after trying offset irons and an offset red dot on rifles. I'm down to just one set of offset irons that I'm using on my Mock12 but they're only there until I get it set up with a 12 o'clock dot too.

    Rifle Zero Target

Huh, that torso came out really milk chocolaty, I haven't had that issue in the printers I've used. I hope it works well for you, I put the target through it's paces this past weekend zeroing a few carbines at 100.

    The AR15 Picture Thread

It was pretty meh in those two rifles today, at 100 it was .90" in the Mock 12 and 1.08" in the SPRecce, not great not terrible. It was stupid slow though, 2485 in the Mock 12 and 2400 in the SPRecce, I was kinda hoping for some more velocity out of it and the ES and SD's were not awe inspiring...

    The AR15 Picture Thread

I haven't had the Mock 12 out in a while so I took it and the SPRecce out for some range time to try out some AAC 77 OTM and get a feel for the new Magpul DT PR stock.

    Screaming Deals on Armalite Barrels

Why do you believe these are made by TK? Why do you think they don’t lap them before nitriding them? I read the sell sheet but there wasn’t anything on it that would make me pause for concern.

    REMMINGTON 243 03A3

I agree, it's a sporterized 03 Springfield, which happened a lot post-WWII as people could get them cheap and turn them into hunting rifles. The mil-surp collector crowd was nowhere near what it is now, someone would shit a cow if someone did that to a Springfield in this day and age lol. I'd...

    Help ID REM 700 DBM

I think the pattern was simply McMillan Camo, I guess they discontinued the pattern because I didn't see it on the site but there's numerous examples of it on the net.

    Help ID REM 700 DBM

That's for sure a Seekins DBM but I'm not sure if it's from before he made them AICS compatible when it used proprietary magazines. I think the inlet is unique to the DBM and not exactly BDL or M5 cut.

I've been checking these out but haven't dealt with the company yet. https://hammy3dprints.com/products/tip-grip-flashlight-and-scope-clamp

    Out of spec upper?

Fuck, did I accidentally go to Reddit? Stop mincing about, who's the manufacturer so that we might actually be able to help you instead of trying to decipher some circles on a photo.

    White oak barrel vs ?

I think WOA still offers an excellent value, I love my 18" and 16" SPR barrels. I shot this back in January checking the zero on my 16" gun at 100 yards, the squares shot with the magnified optic and torso shot with a 12:00 dot.

I shot a review rifle that had one on it years ago, it was nothing to write home about.

    Scope dope

Basically, gun mph is the wind speed at which the range equals your wind hold. For example, at 400 yards a 3 mph full value wind equals a .4 mil hold more or less....it's good to about 600 on my gas gun and then I add .1 mil every 100 yards past that. In higher wind speeds multiply the gun...

    Scope dope

Speed Drop is pretty good but it's not perfect, it's really only good for +/- .2 mil accuracy within it's range envelope which varies depending on the caliber and MV. Similar to modified MPBR, I see it as really good for speed on relatively close medium-large size targets, but my preference if...
