    Rifle Zero Target

I'm pretty satisfied with the layout, it's an amalgamation of targets I've seen in the past and it accomplishes the goals I set for it, so it can not only be a zeroing tool but also a training one with some imagination.

    Rifle Zero Target

I made some minor tweeks to the target and tried it out today, I think I'm done. The revised target is on the right and stands out better at distance for zeroing the red dot and the diamonds were enlarged slightly also. Attached is the revised target for those interested.

    MDT wood grip

Not really, it's an AR grip, if you don't like it it's pretty easy to remove it. That being said, the google led me to a place where they make wood AR compatible grips that are more vertical, they look pretty cool so they could be worth checking out...

    AR Take Down Tool

Nice tools! Up until I made this tool I was making due with a wide range of things just like many others but I wanted a specific tool and I made one so I wasn't constantly improvising. The brass and delrin pieces are epoxied in. I've made some other armorer's tools as well from the TM...

    AR Take Down Tool

Over the weekend I realized that it'd be handy to have a single tool to help pop the take down pins since they're pretty tight on my lowers and remove the hammer/trigger pins if/when I want to swap parts. I know there are already tools available that do this but one I found was $25 and I...

Precision Rifle Gear Match Day Load Out - 10 lbs. in a 5 lb. bag?

A lot of this you're going to have to figure out yourself but this is what I'd do/have done. Ditch: 2, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, and 16. Throw the schmedium on the tripod plate and it works pretty well to steady the binos and the LRF. Most of us have found out that we can get by pretty well with just a...

    Army M24 Build Thread

A lot of the cleaning items in that d-box were supplemented by the Otis cleaning kit provided in the ASAK. That, along with some choice tools and the Seekonk wrench is what I took out on patrol most of the time. I don't I ever took out or used any of the spare screws or anything.

    Army M24 Build Thread

You could make it authentic to how mine was issued with most of the contents missing. I don't think any of the three M24's in my platoon had completely stocked d boxes, even when we went to OEF.

    Rifle Zero Target

Finally got a chance to get out to the range today to take this target for a spin. I’m going to tweak the target a bit to make the torso and diamond stand out more but all in all it was a good range day. It was funny that I shot a better group sitting off the tripod than I did prone lol.

Can anyone tell me more about this style of mount/ lug?

It pushed the bipod out farther for a little more stability and keeps the bottom slick when shooting off a bag. However, it also means that the bipod can only go in one location, which isn’t always ideal and you’re limited to one brand of bipod.

    Screaming Deals on Armalite Barrels

Damn, as good as that deal it's looking like I may need to slow roll my build fantasies for now, stupid responsibilities.....

Can anyone tell me more about this style of mount/ lug?

As noted above, it appears to be a McMillan A2 set up for a Remington 700 with the factory DBM, that's why there are cut outs in the side of the stock.

    Screaming Deals on Armalite Barrels

I saw they were $160.00 but didn't see anything about them being $40, it's a moot point now because they're sold out.

Nightforce XTRM UL Rings. 4 Screw vs 6 Screw for NX8 scope??

Not really, 4-screw NF rings have served well on multiple calibers and DOD has used 4 screw rings on everything up to .50 BMG. I've used multiple sets of 4-screw rings and mounts over the years on various guns and never had an issue with rings slipping.
