Gas gun - aero enhanced upper slop

Like I said mine was not tight (M4e1 with a Blackstone Arms barrel). Either way it shoots .7-1.5 moa depending on the day (me) and has a very predictable .2mil shift low. I wouldn't sweat the barrel fit too much. Tighter is better sure, but it seems based on my sample of 1 that it may not...

    AL DMR Match

Brock's Gap media is lackluster at best. I am currently trying to get approval for a DMR specific media page (IG and Youtube) but I have currently heard no word of approval from the club board. Best bet for now is to just look on their site at the calender and monthly matches...

    AL DMR Match

The match consist of a mix between USPSA and PRS style stages, ranging from 3 - 700 yards and shot with both pistol and rifle. Stages are timed. Some stages require the use of both firearms while others only use a rifle or pistol. Most stages will require movement and good weapons handling while...

Wait, you haven't shot the Aero enhanced yet?

    AL DMR Match

Hello, I've been able to take over as a match director for a local club in Alabama at Brock's Gap Training Center. We've had the match for about 2-3 years and folks seem to enjoy it as we've seen numbers increase from the 4 shooters we had at the first match to around 25. Just wanted to...

Gas gun - aero enhanced upper slop

My barrel flew in loosely and I only see a shift of .2mil going from bipod/rear bag to standing tripod (bag forward of magwell). You 100% sure its a rifle POI shift and not a shooter natural POI shift?

Did Steiner just quietly build the MPO we have all been asking for? H6xi

I can get 20+ mil on my Mk5 2-10 in a 20moa mount. Mount came with optic, if it had not I'd be using a 0moa mount. Speaking of the Mk5 2-10, the non-illuminated TMR pairs so well with small frame ARs. Paired with a dot and I'm confident it'll cover everything I need.

How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

So the purpose of the assumed steel reciever is not pure accuracy, but mitigating POI shift in other positions. Yes, this would not be for everyone, but I'm betting a few would buy it to make a small batch worthwhile for a manufacturer.

How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

A standard stripped upper is 6.9oz. The M4e1 is 12.4oz. Steel is approximately 2.5-3 times the weight of 7075 aluminum. So we are looking at a 20.7oz or 37.2oz reciever. It'd definitely add some weight, but I am curious to see what the net result would be in performance.

    Aero M4e1 Upper POI Shift

Dunno about his, but mine with the 10" handguard is .2mil low going from bipod far to bag in front of magwell. I call that acceptable.

How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

That is my assumption. Be real cool if Aero made a steel M4e1 upper, real cool. I'd buy it at double the standard price if it meant zero flex. Yes I know the RD-15 exists.

How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

Mine that you quoted shows a .2 mil shift low. I am curious to know if this is standard across all handguard length with the M4e1 upper or if a longer handguard would produce a larger shift. I have the 10" handguard with a 12.5" barrel. Curious about the 15" rail shift.

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

I am getting the itch again for an AT again. My home range (Brocks Gap in Alabama) is opening a 1500y range at the new location and would justify the use of a bolt rifle. Surprisingly few used ATs on the market. Logically I know I could just get a Howa, Solus, etc. but I know how nice an AT is...

Rifle Scopes MK5 HD 2-10x new reticles coming?

I hated on the non-illuminated TMR until I actually looked at it on my Mk5 2-10. I actually find it rather nice. My first match with it will be in January, but so far I'm a fan. But I do agree they could offer more reticles for the optic. I think a PR3 would do well if they brought in the...

    Ridgeline Defense RD-15 LPR

Black River Tactical chrome lined. I am at 238 on my current barrel (12.5" AR Performance) and have not seen any velocity increase. I expect to see it around 4-500, maybe less.
