    Bergara with aftermarket barrel??

    Fair enough. But all things being equal, I can’t imagine the actions are going to drive accuracy as much as the barrel. But if you are spending voodoo money for a Bergara with a custom barrel, that seems like a crappy deal to me.

    What I took away from the thread on the Bergara and aftermarket barrel was that the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze. They never posted the price of their experiment. I really appreciate people trying new things to innovate. But if the new barrel and extension costs more than say $700, why not...

    This was exactly my problem. It will depend on your specific set up, chassis, rifle, mag, etc. Thats why I went with the reductive technique of removing material until the mag fit tight and snug.

    Thanks for the reply. I just used some steel reinforced epoxy and it turned out great. For anyone who wants to give this a try, I don’t have a ton of rounds through my rifle after the mod, but it seems to have fixed the issue.

    Thoughts on Bergara B-14R in a krg bravo chassis

    I really like my B14r in the krg bravo. The fit and finish are awesome. Honestly I didn’t even try the rifle in the her stock. I did have some feeding issues but that was super easy to fix with some epoxy on the magazine.

    I’ve used RL15 with success. It’s more temp sensitive than varget so I stopped using it. It works really well in 6.5x47.

    The reticle in the Strike Eagle vs the Athlon Midas Tac are for the most part the same. There are minor differences, one is base 4, the other is base 5. I just want to know how the glass compares. Is the Midas $250 better?

    Rimfire Bergara B14R barreled action & complete rifle.

    I’m not quite at 2 weeks. I paid 10 days ago with no shipping update. He said last week that he ships in "7ish" business days. He did say that he had a CCW class or something last week, maybe he’s really busy. edit. I just got shipping info at around midnight EST. Seems as if he is slammed IMO.

    Any update on this? I can get a vortex strike eagle for around $500. Is the Midas tac over $200 better than the Strike Eagle.
