    AMP Press now in stock!!

And many won’t share what we have. Because it’s just not worth it. There’s a ton of data out there on several topics. Some that confirms long held believes and some that totally turns others on it’s head. And much of it will never see the light of day because the internet roasts you no matter...

    Scope height & wobble zone?

If it’s actually noticeable and repeatable, then one setup works better for you. Which makes sense. Different people have different bodies, likes, dislikes. In your case, it may be the scope height. But, that’s not going to be a set rule of thumb. As in, everyone won’t have less wobble with...

How much do you set back your bullet to start with?

If you’re seating the bullet further out (and thusly increasing the capacity), unless you change powder charge, you get less pressure and therefore less velocity. When increasing capacity, you have to increase powder charge to increase velocity. For reference...

    Stubborn Carbon Ring Removal

If you clean regularly, no need for anything crazy. This barrel had about 900 rounds on it at the time. Never seen a bronze brush (nothing against bronze). Just light brushing with nylon and patches. Of course the throat has fire cracking. But I can’t find the pics of it at that time. The...

Is cleaning primer pocket really needed?

I’ll dig around and see if I can find data. But, any that I have read or discussed with people is that it’s only noticeable for disciplines like BR and 1k F class where they have the equipment and rifles to see/exploit the difference. We are talking tiny differences and for probably 99% of...

Most effective training drills for limited time

You’ll also be far better at reading wind doing the following things: Keep your kestrel with you away from the range. Make a wind call and check it. Take a friend to range and have them take kestrel down range to different points. Make a wind call from the shooter’s position and have your...

Most effective training drills for limited time

For example, the difference between a full value 6mph wind @ 500 and a 10mph with a 109 Berger going 2850 is .3 If your wobble is .2 or .3 you have a problem and most shooters aren’t able to get their wobble into the .1-.2 you should be getting on a stable prop and solid position. If your...

    LE Wilson Case Trimmer Question

Regardless of what Wilson says, the “fired” holders typically do better with F/L sized cases. I use their holders for several different tools and the fired always work better for every cartridge I mess with. Also, the best way for fitment is to have someone take your fired brass and machine a...

Most effective training drills for limited time

Again, process and steps. You don’t move to distance if you can’t hit things close. Also, I can name 15+ national level shooters who never shoot more than 100yds. This game is much more about recoil management and seeing your shots than it is about wind reading and shooting at distance. Part...

Most effective training drills for limited time

It absolutely will not until that shooter is capable of only missing the first shot due to wind and then making the other hits after he sees what happened. Cart before horse. Learn to shoot fundamentally and then learn wind. Also, I didn’t say 30 completely different positions. I said, “build...

Most effective training drills for limited time

Dry fire only works certain things. The expectation/knowledge that a live round will go off changes everything. A prime example is pistol (rifle is the same, but pistol is very relatable example), where you dryfire at home and everything seems perfect. Then you go to range and things fall apart...

    Neck diameter/pressure/accuracy

Virgil King of the “Houston Warehouse” used .007-.0075 clearance. Any rifle from those guys that had a number besides zero for the first place after the decimal was junk.

    Neck diameter/pressure/accuracy

Get a .275 neck. .006 neck clearance is where many high level F class guys are sitting. The only possible (yet unlikely) negative result is split necks sooner. But I and many others have run over .010 clearance and primer pockets still fail before the necks.

    Which arbor press to buy?

Also yes. Many high level shooters toss the bad “feel” into the practice or fouler pile. You’d already know this if you had real knowledge of ammunition and shooting.

    Which arbor press to buy?

I see you edited your post. Rather than answer your questions which are passive aggressive pretend questions, I’ll just call a spade a spade. Your knowledge is elementary at best. You are obviously mad that you can’t afford better toys (you’ve made several golden spoon type posts). You have...

    Which arbor press to buy?

Pretty much everything you said is wrong. Except for the micrometer die part. But that’s not what you’re attempting to “feel.” So that might as well be wrong too. Again less posting more reading. You’re done here.

    Which arbor press to buy?

Just to clear things up. The arbor presses sold at places like harbor freight are made for pressing parts and such. Not for bullets. They are made with mechanical advantage that will not give you any feedback. At that point, unless you are faster with Wilson dies (I am) then you might as well...

    Which arbor press to buy?

No…..it’s not. The main reason is for the “feel” feedback. Or gauge if you get one that has a gauge. Which is why the harbor freight press is a terrible idea. Read more and post less. You aren’t experienced or knowledgeable enough to give advice. Seriously your last warning before you get...

    Lanolin/Alcohol Sizing Lube Recipes?

Get a bottle with graduations. Pour a bottle of iso-heet in the bottle. Then do either 1/12 or 1/16 parts using the graduations. Also, most people at a minimum wipe off the cases with a rag after sizing. Many dry tumble.
