    I am not sure I understand what you are getting at? You can use an LRF or Calypso AB Mini as a peripheral to AB Quantum. The question I was answering is that you do not need the app running to keep the Calypso AB Mini paired to an LRF (where compatible).

Once paired, you do not need to open ABQ except to move the Calypso to a new device, or remove its pairing to an LRF.     This function only works when paired directly to AB Quantum. Only one device can be paired to AB Quantum at a time.
