Rifle Competition Events Major Land Sniper’s Cup

Three questions: Will registration be open on August 16, as previously stated, or September 16, as stated above, and at what time will registration open? Do we know what the registration fee will be? How do we feel about braced pistols? I have a Flux Raider that I want to try running as a PDW...

Armageddon Gear PRS sling. It hangs close, absorbs shock, and has a hasty-cuff feature that becomes second nature with a bit of training.

Do it! Which guide did you use? I have a buddy in Colorado Springs who is always up for an adventure.

Ahhh, now I understand. I’m in the shorter mountains to the east, so it wasn’t immediately clear to me. Need to do a Rockies elk hunt one of these days.

Which cape do you use? Genuinely curious about why you pick a cape over more standard hunting attire.

I’ve been hunting for the past two years with my DT SRS A2 Covert. 20 in barrel, 6.5 CM, 14 LBs with a can at 36 inches. I’ve carried it over multi-mile varmint hike/hunts and while yes, it is heavy, the balance more than makes up for it. Especially when moving through heavy cover, I’d take my...

Got some dry fire in on the SRS last night. Turns out the “0”s on the spines of the wife’s fashion magazines at about 15 m are close to a 1/10 mil point of aim. It’s remarkably clear if you would have missed after the trigger press.

No need to apologize. This is what we come here to see. I haven’t had a chance to pull a trigger in a couple months so I’m living vicariously here.

Spent my day off gathering data on a new load. I think I’ve got it where I want it. 130 ELDM, 37.5 gns Varget, Lapua brass, BR 2 primers. Grouped well under 1 MOA but forgot to get pictures of the group.

ERA TAC Base Measurements Not Accurate

This is news to me. I bought it because I figured on being able to use it on the fly, in addition to it being handy when I switch barrels on my Desert Tech. I was under the impression that many people used them in this manner. Edit to clarify, I have seen people use them in this manner at my...

ERA TAC Base Measurements Not Accurate

I measured with the reticle in my NF, and my shooting partner confirmed with the reticle in his Kahles. Picture of my scope box below. I am new to both ELR and adjustable bases, so I’m open to this being user error. That said, the numbers were repeatable hence my thinking it may not be user...

ERA TAC Base Measurements Not Accurate

Hopefully the above clarified it. If not, test procedure was as follows: 200 yd 8 ft. tall target stand with two targets vertically aligned and 5 mils apart center to center, checked via multiple scopes and spotters with reticles. 3 shots at the lower target to establish zero. Base adjusted...

ERA TAC Base Measurements Not Accurate

I experienced what I believed to be an error at 600 yds when I was at the K&M course and adjusted the base to the 5 mil facet resulting in unknown elevation added and targets missed high. I reset the base to 0 and found my previous zero returned. When I returned home, I recreated the situation...

ERA TAC Base Measurements Not Accurate

Measured offset at 200 yards was 7.2 mils when the base was set to the 5 mil facet. The offset was checked and was repeated.
