    Has anyone ever SBR’d a desert tech? I just had my hand guard off and I realized you still have 7 inches of barrel, even without the hand guard on the gun. It could be slick to run a 300 Blk and a can that short.

    What's your favorite stock?

    The most comfortable, natural fitting stock I’ve ever shot was the old Tikka 595 Master Sporter stock. Bought a Master Sporter just to have the pattern. Turns out it shoots great too.

    This is something a buddy of mine and I have been considering. More research to be done though, if we’re going to plonk down the cash and fly down there. Definitely going to be bringing my desert tech and the 300 WM conversion kit, whenever I get saved up for it.

    If you get a smith to lengthen the throat for the 300 win mag, then there isn’t much difference. IIRC, a couple hundred FPS. Because you are reloading, you can get the same BCs. The main difference is having a belted magnum case verses a non-belted magnum.

    Go with 300 WM, and keep it simple. That’s what I’m going to do after I get my 6.5 Creedmoor conversion squared away.

    It came in today! And they slipped in a monopod, an 88.5 in-lb torque wrench, as well as a rail segment and a bipod adapter from Magpul. DT rocks.
