    The only FFP scope with an adjustable objective I've heard of is the Delta Optics Titanium 4.5-14x50, but they're not available in the US yet. They also have tall (but capped) turrets with no zero stop. Do you need an FFP reticle? If not, you may be better off looking at hunting scopes...

    Note that the Leupold Custom Shop can retrofit mil turrets on most of their Marks 4s, and swap out the reticle if you're feeling ambitious. That's a good way to update an older scope that's already paid for or bought cheap, to a more modern configuration.

    So let me get this straight...it's an SFP scope with 1/3 MOA BDC turrets and a reticle that allows wind holds and range estimation based on the size of the animal you're trying to shoot. Isn't that just like a Leupold with a CDS turret and a reticle from a 1970s era Weaver/Redfield?

    No - the action screw pattern and inlet is different between the 455 and the 452 (and between different 452s as well).

    Barrel heat, group size

    Silly question, but have you cleaned the gun lately? Even if you have cleaned it, have you scrubbed the chamber? Sometimes wax, lead, or carbon build up can effect accuracy in ways that you don't have to worry a out with center fire cartridges.

    I'm hoping for a SAKO green version, personally, but I'm definitely buying one. I emailed KRG a few months back asking if you could put the Bravo back end on a 180 X-Ray and they said the back end would slip right on. I'm glad that's now an option from the factory.

    There's also no zero stop - at least the Athlons have the shim-type zero stop system found on the Viper PST Gen 1 and (ironically) the SFP Diamondback Tactical. I think these will be pretty nice scopes for the money and will sell well, but Athlon still wins on the value front.
