    Rifle Scopes M7xi 4-28 thoughts

Steiner, Burris, and Kahles all have CA. They all also have very sharp images. Yeah, I paint my targets white, so the CA will end up showing up, but once that steel is shot up, I remember seeing a lot of detail on that gray plate with the M7 vs my other stuff. I see CA on the fringes of my...

    US optics FDN

What setup? Nearly all 5-25/6-36/7-35 scopes are 35+ oz, and the 3-18s are usually over 30 oz too. The only mainstream scopes beating the FDN for weight in their classes are Leupold or NX8s.

    US optics FDN

I've owned several FDNs. They do their job. I got grease in a reticle on one of them after four years of PRS use. I sent it in for warranty and had it back in a week. Optically, I see more detail with the FDN than I do with my ATACR. Used and cert prices on the USO put it in a very good price to...

    US optics FDN

There are other threads on the topic, with a couple of loud people who like to dog on the brand based on experiences two business iterations ago with products that were discontinued nearly a decade ago or more. We don't need to open another thread where I duke it out with the same person on...

Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

People complain a lot about scopes going down and being gone for a long time... Maybe don't blow $4k on a scope without having a back up?

PRS Talk Best Nightforce Reticle For PRS

I know a guy who uses it for NRL22, and a few guys who, if buying a NF for PRS in 2025 would be buying a MIL-C. I have a MIL-XT in mine, and wouldn't feel held back in any way whatsoever for PRS with the MIL-C. I think the common trend is to ditch the tree these days.

Rifle Scopes Tract Toric ELR vs Burris XTR IIIi NOW With some Burris Pro and now some Zeiss LRP S3 also!

I just went to EuroOptic to check their prices, because I could swear they're still in the $1500ish range. Looks like you can still find some for $1600, but current production all looks like $2k+. Prices are on the rise everywhere.

Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

Looks like he's been shooting NF for a long time based on his IG. I will say, someone coming from a MK5 and being wowed by any scope's FOV wouldn't be surprising, lol.

    Toughest scope mounts?

I wanted some more adjustment range for elr, and I like to tinker. I've never had issues with my MPAs, ARC, Warnes, or Spuhr.

Dangit. I hate set screws. I'm still mighty tempted to sell a couple of scopes and try this, regardless.

Rifle Scopes March 5-42 Gen 2 PRS Edition

What is re-zeroing like? Does this use set screws on a brass knob inside the turret a-la viper pst/Nightforce/Steiner M, etc? Will swapping between rifles eventually leave divets? All I can find is the zero stop and locking features, not how to set zero.

    Toughest scope mounts?

I haven't put my Eratac through the ringer yet, but it's made from steel. I don't think it's bending/breaking anytime soon.

    New CHAD clone from Preece.

I'm no fanboi, but I will admit that when picking up brass at a match next to a shooter, the Chad has a windier concussion in general compared to the baseball-bat-to-the-face that others have, especially MPA's brakes. I hate those things.

    New CHAD clone from Preece.

What bullets/cartridges you both firing? Yours seems to stay flatter by a long shot, but that'd a dumb point to make if you're shooting .223 and he's shooting a Creedmoor or something.

Took me a minute to realize the first gun is using the APA and the other gun was the Stinger.

Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

I see zero value in Titanium. For a PRS gun, I'd even prefer steel at the muzzle anyways. Titanium would just hike the price for next to no value-added.

Rifle Scopes Razor gen 3 upgrade

I'm really wanting to know this. What a company is legally bound to do vs what they will do actually says a lot about them to me. This is likely a bit more due to the cost of manufacture in Japan vs Europe. Compare the prices of grand pianos from Yamaha and Shigeru Kawai to Hamburg Steinway...
