    Precision reloading for an M1 Garand…anyone experimented enough to find a 1 MOA load? Is it even possible with a Garand?

    I will say that the M1 rabbit hole is very deep but the adventure is well worth the trip. There is nothing more enjoyable than shooting a fine tuned accurate M1 many of the new school “Rifle Men” just can’t wrap there head around them. Stock fit is the foundation of any accurate rifle.

    Hmm, I have a couple of M1’s one is a 06 H&R the other in a SA in 7.62mm both are Post War rifles. I see a lot of talk about load development and barrels but nothing about the mechanics of the platform. Words of wisdom passed on too me from a much older Gent, a loose sloppy rack grade rifle...

    Lite bullets like faster powders and you barrel is on the shorter side, N140 is much like IMR-4064 too slow for the bullet weight and barrel length for optimum performance. Ive never played with H335 with a 7.62 so I can’t provide any direction with that powder. IMR/H-4895, XBR8208 around...

    The colors and pattern is no longer listed, however if you speak too Lynn and request Dark Camo this is what you should get. Dark Brown, Dark Green and Black.

    It maybe a little ruff polish the leade and clean the chamber with a green scotch-brite pad. You have nothing too loose.

    Fine rifles that were made for Match shooting. Here is mine with a tune up, it’s a great rifle that shoots any of the well known accuracy loads pretty easy. It just isn’t a fussy eater..

    FBI Sniper Rifles

    Hmmm, I heard same about ruptured Barstow barrels in MEUSOC 1911’s? Here is a picture of one barrel from a 2112 that I know notice the weapons ser number 4007 on top of the chamber and the faint PWS on the side. When the barrels fail/failed they just replace it with another one and drive on.
