    AR 16 or 18" barrel

Again, the .223 is not a hammer. Not at 2850 and not at 3050. If 150 ft. lbs. loss in energy at the muzzle means the differance in tracking and not tracking a 250 pound animal it's time to go to a larger caliber. IMO.

    6.5 creedmoor a duplication of effort if I have a 308

Rob. My #'s are wrong. Your's are correct. I had my speed @2685. A mild gas gun load I shot yesterday. Edit: Why do you do a 2" offset if I might ask?

    6.5 creedmoor a duplication of effort if I have a 308

If I were going to do another 6.5 bolt it would be a Creedmoor for one simple reason. Owning one set of nice dies for both bolt and gas. If I chose to do a 6.5 gas the Creedmoor provides more flexibility in adjusting the OAL of the cartridge. With .260 in a gas I can set my OAL to any length...

    "Practicality" of a Monopod?

My groups shot with mono pods and shooting sleds have always produced larger groups than off a loaded bipod and rear bag. If you want it to stay with the gun D-Ring it to your sling.

    Suppressors 308 can on a .22 rifle....will it work??

Lets recap. So where does that put us? Hoser shoot 1200 rounds through his can and now you consider his test invalid because he didn't do it with all different brands. Whats next? He has to do it while standing on hid head. As far as I have see in this thread and...

    AR 16 or 18" barrel

I would base my decision on how the gun balances off hand. If you're going to use a heavy buttstock like a Magpul PRS I would do an 18-20". 16" if you're using a light buttstock. I don't think whatever you're shooting at is going to care if the bullet is going 2850fps or 3050fps. Plus, it is...

    Suppressors 308 can on a .22 rifle....will it work??

Oh, I'm the same person. There is no doubt about that. I do like a debate and I do like being a smart ass. I talk shit just like the rest of them and I get made fun of just the same. It's just shit talkin and it really doesn't bother me. It keeps me on my toes and entertained. That being...

Suppressors New To Suppressors, persuade me away from AAC.

I had it replaced. AAC's service was outstanding. They didn't mention anything about bad latches but that doesn't mean it didn't happen, they just didn't explain that to me. I could see it happening though and I get it. I love the can otherwise. If the mounts were designed like the rest of...

Suppressors New To Suppressors, persuade me away from AAC.

I have an SDN-6. The mount up issues are real. My latch wore out over the course of 2 years and carbon blows by the mount and into the objective of my scope. I would look into another brand.

    Suppressors Which .45 to suppress

I held the USP yesterday and it gripped like a SIG. I'm going to find a HK45 Tactical to try on. It has an adjustable back strap. If the HK45 doesn't work it look like I may be getting a new 1911!

    Suppressors Which .45 to suppress

Are 1911's finicky when suppressed? Does suppressing them loosen them up?
