Sidearms & Scatterguns Help identifying smith and Wesson

Looks like a S&W 1917 Army model in .45 ACP that has been after market plated. Cool guns, but I wouldn't pay too much for it. It's in shooter condition, not collectible condition. Edges have been rounded during over-polishing - should have Property of US Army under the ejector rod housing and on...

    5.7x28 bolt gun

^ Agree with Mike. Go with a Fireball based cartridge.

    5.7x28 bolt gun

24" barrel - even worse than I remembered on the speed - only 2150 fps on the velocity. But it is a fun - no recoil- minimal noise cartridge.

    5.7x28 bolt gun

Dakota Arms made a few before they went out of business - so, Parkwest Arms ( that bought them out ) might still have a reamer. The FN factory blue tip V Max's only chrono 2250-ish - so - about the same as a 22 mag. But- it is a fun little round.

My skepticism thinks he didn't take the bore / scope offset into account. But that's just me.

    Fiocci ammo

I use both the 40 grain and 50's - both shoot as well ( between 3/8" and 3/4" ) as most anything I can cook up. They used to be super reasonably priced - but - like everything nowadays - they have gone up in price. Only downside is they chrono slightly slow ( but I can handle that ).

    Leupold MK4 M3-10X Target Dot

Back in the good ol' days, the Leupold Custom Shop would change your reticle for a reasonable fee. Possibly a shooter requested change after its' initial sale.

Firearms A couple of Rifles for Sale

The Kimber appears to be a Custom Classic model - the Super America's serial #'s started with an SA ( i.e., SAXXXX ). But still a relatively rare gun in that caliber . GLWS.

Random question for those working in the legal profession.

As papershredder said, witnesses are generally not compensated because of their active involvement in the case. Usually, the prosecutor can determine the timeframe that a witness will most likely be called to testify, so it doesn't adversely impact the witness's entire day...

The 9th circus says felon has right to guns

I've got a murderer story too. I needed some plumbing work done and a plumber friend of mine told me he would send his best guy over. Then there was an " oh, by the way, he's a convicted murderer". Told him , "no thanks, send someone else or I can get another company to take care of it". He told...
