Is the receiver solid in the stock with no movement at all? I ask because I recently built one using the Titan stock and needed to use a shorter Volquartsen takedown screw. Factory screw was too long and there was movement.
Just finished this one up, old Ruger receiver with sentimental value. KIDD trigger, barrel, bolt, charging assembly, buffer, pins. Victor stock, EGW 20 MOA rail, pimped out Harris pod.
I'm running a Bravo with a Whiskey forend. I have my Harris with KMW Podloc mounted on a KRG full spigot with L3 rail using an ADM QD rail adapter. No interference as long as I mount the bipod far enough forward on the spigot. This pic should give you a decent idea of the clearance.
I had the KAC on my Mod 0 clone and quickly swapped it out for a YHM adapter that I used for years. The KAC simply has much less contact area with the pad on the Harris and was leaving a divot in the pads. Now I run an ADM QD direct rail adapter on the Harris to swap between my guns with...
I too have the Vortex Defenders on mine. I also had problems with the objective cap flipping open way too easily, had Vortex replace it and the replacement does the same thing. A pain since the eyepiece cap is perfect. Probably going to just rip them off and use the bikini cover that came...
Anyone have a ring height recommendation for this scope on a 700 short action with a Badger 20MOA rail? Vortex is saying 1.125 for their Vortex/Seekins rings, but seems like that might be bit high.
Does it clear if you drop the cheekpiece down? Looks like you have super high rings on there and the cheekpiece is jacked up ultra high. This isn't normally the case.
Re: Need a forearm grip for a M4
I use the Tangodown grip as well....it's great. The Larue FUG and Daniel Defense are also nice.
