    ARC Archimedes Bolt Stop: PITA

    My Nucleus 1.1 had a hard to turn bolt stop. I removed it, polished it and cleanedup the edges around the divot for the ball bearing. Made it feel a lot better.

    My buddy broke his T1x's firing pin before he even got to the range iirc. To be fair, he had been drying firing a bunch. Guess he didn't see the warning in the manual. He also somehow broke his AOD bolt handle. Not sure what he's done with the rifle at this point.

    I sold two Vortex PST gen II, two rifles, two chassis and a plethora of accessories to buy my first ZC420. I bought another (used) one recently and now I'm looking to offload my Razor gen II too, and I absolutely loved that optic, aside from the weight. So trust me, you ain't crazy hahaha.

    No trophies to mention, but managed to drop 1 mule and 2 white-tails over my one weekend to hunt before work sends me out of town. Shots were 311 yds, 350 yds and 222 yds. Spotted a mule buck but unfortunately I didn't have a tag for it. Bonus picture of the Northern light:

    Every(most?) bolt action will do this. Hold the trigger while closing your bolt and you'll see the firing pin drop. Had exactly what you're describing happen at a match once.     They're a bit shorter than the MDT mags. I just received a couple ARC mags last night. I'll try to get some pictures/measurements for you if I can get some free time tonight or tomorrow.

    With the Nuke having swapable bolt heads, you could consider running a 223 most of the time and swapping the barrel to something like a 243/6mm a bit before deer season. Another lightweight option is the MDT HTN26. They come in around 2lbs and have a 12.5" LOP according to their website...

    Same here for two nut barlocs use for a 6.5cm and .223 rem. Both have been used in the field for hunting or matches. I apply a touch of antisieze to the mating surfaces and tap lightly while torquing, similar to installing v-band clamps.
