Check TVP's Facebook page. You can message Tom through there too and he usually replies pretty quickly. Quicker than phone or text.

Both are great places to shoot and worth the drive (I'm from the Dayton area). Should be just over 2 hours from Springfield.

Range Report .308 Hornady 168g ELD-M superformance Range Results (updated)

Just got back from trying these today and I have to say I was quite pleased. Using the supplied BC's from Hornady (they post 3 BC's as velocity decreases) and a MV of 2800 plugged into AB I was dead on at 1000 yards at 9.2 mils. Pretty impressive considering I was at 11.2 mils with 175g SMK's...

^^^ Totally agree. It's a very active group with match dates listed, match results, and related discussions. There is an Ohio members thread in this section as well. I'm from the Dayton Ohio area, about 45 min north of Cincinnati.

    Budget adjustable inch/pound torque wrench

I picked up this one a couple years ago. It's worked great for me. It only gets light use since I don't really have a need for it except for my rifle. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ya/ref=yo_ii_bia_view?ie=UTF8&ac=bia&reorder_params=B00C5ZL2EG%2C110-3172684-9214662

Range Report .308 Hornady 168g ELD-M superformance Range Results (updated)

I just saw these and wondered if anyone of you guys have tried these yet? https://m.hornady.com/store/30-Cal-....-gr-ELD-Match/ I tried the 178g superformance at the range today (local 100 yard range) and they shot pretty poorly in my rifle with 1 in 12" twist :(. I didn't have any flattened...

    Question about SFP scope values.

Your click values will always move the reticle 0.10 mil, regardless of magnification level. The miliradian "ruler" on you reticle will be out of proportion you zoom out.

    Black houghts subtopic; the Shooter

I don't think technological improvements have completely eliminated the 'art', but simply raised the bar. We have more precise standards today than many years ago. In general we're looking to hit smaller targets at further distances. Our improved equipment helps with this but the shooter still...

    Sling recommendations?

I'm using mine on a bolt gun. I believe the carbine sling is nearly identical except for the arm cuff. So if you don't think you'll need or want the option of using the cuff the carbine sling would be a good/cheaper option

    Sling recommendations?

+1 on the Rifles Only bungee sling. For those of you who haven't handled one, the bungee section is a very heavy duty, very strong bungee. The cam buckles allow you to quickly adjust the tension to use as a hasty sling or use as a loop sling. im sure there are other great slings out there but...

Help me pick a drag bag.

I have the TAC ops drag bag and it works great for me. The range I go to has shooting positions down a path and up a hill where my car can't go so I have to hump all my shit up there. I just strap in my rifle and pack ammo, mags, shooting bags, water, etc. in the pouches and wear it like a...

Gotta say I am pretty happy with the Trump veteran cabinet members.

I was really pleased with the appointment of General Mattis as SecDef. im sure he wasn't the only commander to spend 2 weeks driving across the country visiting the families of Marines KIA under his command, but that's leadership. I never served under him, but would have been damn proud to.
