Would a helicoil, just basically being a spring holding the action screw, introduce any issues between the action and the chassis that might...

    He's too cheap for a Kidd receiver (my suggestion). I found a factory receiver he can but for $80, he said he'll probably buy it next weekend, I'm just wondering if salvaging this for his rifle is worth while.

    A close family member of mine has a Ruger 10/22 that they put a Kidd barrel on and a KRG Bravo on (at my suggestion). I don't know why, but they clean it after every range trip (maybe 50 rounds when they go). I don't know what happened but they stripped out the action screw in the receiver...

    Sizing Wax question

    I lube with imperial die wax, then I resize with a full length die (expander ball removed) then clean the cases again to remove the wax. After that I use a carbide expander mandrel (no lube) and expand the case necks, then I load.

    I used to have the factory stock on mine. Yes, I also had to use an additional riser on it. I used the Triad Tactical one before I switched to a chassis.

    223 prs rifle for 15 yo daughter

    Nothing wrong with a 24" 223 barrel. I shoot 500 yard F-Class with a 24" 223 barrel. Some guys I shoot with think I should rebarrel to a 28", but I'm happy with how my current barrel shoots.

    1907 sling is my preferred sling. I've shot HP matches in the past and attended Appleseed events and learned how to use them. I have them on several rifles. I'm probably younger than you, in my 30s.

    Once fired 223 AR brass

    I would leave your resizing die setup for your bolt gun and resize the brass from the AR. I do it all the time, never an issue.

    IMR 3031 & 5.56 or .308

    I've heard good things about 39.5gr of 3031 and 168gr bullets. I have some loaded up to see, just haven't been to the range...
