Re: Scope Recommendations: 1000-yd Target Competition
What type of competition?
If you are referring to F-Class, here is a fairly recent picture of our rifle rack during a 1k F-Class match at Bayou Rifles:
Re: Going price for pillar and marine tex bedding job?
$300 is expensive. My smith charges $150 at most, including some inletting. Charged $100 for pillars and bedding a McMillan for me (no inletting necessary).
Re: giraud vs gracey
I have owned/used both, and the Giraud is the better of the machines. Actually, the Gracey I had is the one that Doug worked over and is now pictured on his site, and his trimmer is still a much nicer overall machine.

Re: Surgeon Rifle Owners
Yes, the quality of Surgeons builds is excellent. I'd darn sure rather drive an hour and half or so, and get to talk to the folks building my rig, rather than trust the USPS or UPS monkeys with my parts...
Re: Full length sizing vs. neck sizing for accuracy

Re: October 30th Texas Match
Awesome!! The LSSO is a really tough bunch of shooters. There used to be more folks shooting prone but as these have evolved, more guys are bringing heavy benches at the like. Its not really supposed to be a Benchrest match, just a run what ya brung - at it has...
Re: 7mm Bergers Just Arrived !
Berger sent me 300 of the Hybrids from the first run but I have not had a chance to try them out. I have been running the 180 VLDs pretty successfully, so I look forward to giving these a spin...
