Ever had a primer pop while using a hand tool?

Re: Ever had a primer pop while using a hand tool? Yep, had one go off a couple years ago. Was using a RCBS hand priming tool, and one lit off - scared the crap out of me and my dog... Always wear glasses, and keep the mouth of the case pointed away from your face!!!

Chargemaster Combo... Unit #2 crapped the bed

Re: Chargemaster Combo... Unit #2 crapped the bed I'm on my 3rd unit due to the same issue. This on is now also out of warranty, so when it goes T/U, I see myself paying the $45, plus buying a Hornady and leaving the RCBS as a back up.

    Recommend Press for Precision Reloading

Re: Recommend Press for Precision Reloading The press is not an issue, its just a mechanism for applying the necessary force. Lots of Benchrest guys load at the range on old beat up partner presses off of black and decker workmates. Accurate ammo is produced by good dies.

What bushing for 6.5x47 L, Redding Type S FULL die

Re: What bushing for 6.5x47 L, Redding Type S FULL die I started with a .290, but after 3-4 reloads, its not enough. Now I just go with a .289 for the life of the brass - 10 loadings or so. This is with a .293 neck chamber.

Re: Porter's Precision 6.5x47 Lapua I shoot with Kenny down at Bayou all the time, and he is a all around good guy, not just a great gunsmith. Next time you speak with him, congratulate him on his recent victory in the TSRA State Long Range Championship. Now, get that gun out to Bayou...

    6.5x47 lapua

Re: 6.5x47 lapua I have been shooting the 6.5x47 in F-class competition since it first came out, and have found the Berger 130 and Varget combo to the be the most consistent and accurate. Until I swapped over to the .284 for 800+ yards, I ran it clear out to 1k and won quite a few matches...
