    Stainless Steel Media Testimonials

Hard water doesn't do as good of a job as soft water. We have soft water here and I have none of the problems some guys experience. I doubt a brita gets rid of the minerals in your water. That said your cases are more than clean enough and no tumbler will do as well. The carbon is gone...

300 WM dies, first time reloading belted magnum

My understanding is the 300Win by Lapua was made by Norma.

    First time annealing

You are right...except we don't want to fully anneal the neck....just make it a bit more pliable so it doesn't split, yet we still want it to spring back for easy extraction. Fully annealed brass has almost no spring back in compression or tension. Fully annealed cases don't want to extract from...

    Single stage press upgrade advice

100 yard BR guys use arbor press gear, most 1000 yard bench rest guys use the Co-Ax. What stuck cases? The Co-Ax has a 360 degree death grip in the case and will rip any case out of any die if you forget to lube it..Might mangle the case head in the process though.

Right on the money! Sorry man I missed this post. :)

300 WM dies, first time reloading belted magnum

Yeah, the idea of winding down the die all the way is just as......(restraint applied)....ill advised on a belted magnum as it is on any other case. Doing so assures extreme headspace, soon to separate case heads, and soon to split shoulders and necks. DO NOT DO IT! Best advice I can give...

    First time annealing

Do it in the dark and DO NOT let the cases turn red.

70.5grs of RL22 gives me targets that are tough to measure at 100 yards. :)

    .300WM & 200gr Accubond load suggestions

71-72 grains of RL22 shoot about an inch at 200 yards with most accurate rifles I have shot. H4350...there are better choices

    Annealing Accuracy Increases?

You use the tempilaq for setup only. From there the machine makes the process identical every time. The objective is to get the 750 degree to go off then take it out of the heat....Simple! I put it on the outside

    Annealing Accuracy Increases?

Good report Turbo. I should have mentioned similar cases are easier to set up. I do think the Giraud would benefit from a better torch/regulated propane system, but that stuff is expensive. Dual torches would make it faster yet. My problem is I might anneal 6mmbr, 338 Lapua, and 50 BMG one...

    Annealing Accuracy Increases?

I have the Bench Source and couldn't be happier with the unit...$500.00 is definitely not the right number. Not to mention you still have to buy the torches and assorted propane bits and pieces and a tank. Its not cheap, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I anneal cases from 223 to...

So hard to find reliable electronic scales.

Yes, I know what you are suggesting here and you are correct with fine grained powder...Too a point. You can do the same thing with the Acculab/Derever 123. With fine grained/ball powder I use a powder thrower...and wouldn't you when you get superb accuracy in a rapid fashion? Check weights...

Sidearms & Scatterguns any Karambit users here?

I have said this before, but at bad breath distances the assumption that a handgun is some how vastly superior to or more lethal than a blade is both flawed and one dimensional thinking. Knives don't have to be cocked, unsnapped, loaded, safety'd, or aimed. Not saying for one second they are...

So hard to find reliable electronic scales.

I have both 503 and have a weight check set. My new Chargemaster has never drifted more than a tenth of a grain...The older ones were not this good. I did not really like my Drever/Acculab 123.
